The problem with Iraq isn’t that we went in, it’s a we went in without the resolve to do the job correctly, and went it with the touchy feely “hearts and minds” unicorns and rainbows nonsense.
I think in hindsight, if I knew we didn’t have the guts to do it right, it would have been better to have stay out.
Which is why I’m against almost all foreign intervention now, because it’s clear after Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, that the US population doesn’t have to stomach to actually do what is necessary to win.
If Biden’s team changed minds that quickly, I think it because Biden had some kind of health episode Sunday morning that necessitated the course reversal.
They’ve been doing it for 7 years.
That means they started this during Trump’s administration, probably by people who rose in the ranks in the Obama years.
This is all because of the Bud Light backlash last year.
It’s as Matt Walsh predicted, we had to make an example of Bud Light so that other corporations that make products bought by conservatives will get the message to stay away from left wing social issues because there is a price to pay.
Most entertainers do this already, they incorporate and then license out their services via the LLC, which allows them write off a lot of their costs as business expense.
Trump is negotiating to get more for the US out of it, and in any negotiation to get what you want you have to appear more ready to walk away than the other person.
Agreed, if they called the cops then they must have known he was up to something, because nobody calls the cops about a 20 year old unless they were missing for a day or something.
Yeah, I think they are just worried that they are going to have to foot the bill for Ukraine now.
Which they should, because Ukraine matters to them much more than it matters to us.
I’m not against aiding Ukraine, but I think it should be Europe’s responsibility first and the US should only get involved if all the best efforts of Europe prove not enough.
Instead we somehow are leading the effort and the many European countries are just halfheartedly pitching in.
It’s shows his lack of seriousness when he attacks Trump for taking abortion out of the party platform, when Trump appointed the judges that reversed Roe.
The party platform is marketing, it’s just words. There are no Republicans who vote for or against something just because the platforms says it.
Vance is fine on his positions, I just don’t think he’s a very charismatic speaker, he also has very little track record and almost no national name recognition.
I don’t think he’s going to help getting any additional voters.
