I'm worried about all these polls, even those that put President Bush ahead by a few points. While roaming through the electoral-vote.com website I came across the results of the final polls conducted before the election in 2000: http://www.electoral-vote.com/info/polls-2000.html
Bush had a lead comparable then to what he has now in the polls that show he is ahead - but we know how the popular vote ended up back then. I won't feel confident until he has built up a significant lead in the polls.
Having lived in England for a number of years though, I can tell you Skynews has very little in common with FOX. They may have the same owner and made use of each other's video during the war, but the similarities end there.
I think an international FNC spinoff would be an awful idea - CNN did that, and look what happened - we ended up with something EVEN more leftist than CNN USA (yes, it's possible). What FOX SHOULD do, and I think they are, is keep getting foreign media outlets to carry FOX. It's available in a surprisingly high number of countries considering its target audience is only the USA and that no ads are shown during the commerical breaks abroad. I also hear that wherever its shown internationally, the ratings are skyhigh.
If the supreme court is faced with ruling on abortion any time soon in the future, I think it would be of great importance and value to have a woman on the supreme court that would vote in favor of overturning Roe vs. Wade... With the only woman on the court voting to uphold Roe v. Wade (Ginsburg), the Dems could make a huge fuss about abortion being outlawed by a bunch of old men. A conservative woman on the court would make a big difference.
I'm watching C-SPAN - seems to me every 2nd caller put on the air is against the speech. I think that's ridiculous, considering CSPAN is without a doubt getting a WHOLE LOT MORE calls in support of the speech than in opposition to it. Is this a an official CSPAN policy?
