It seems that there are a whole lot of laws on the books against disruptions of public services (e.g. funerals, weddings, public gatherings, etc.). They would fall under the public nuisance laws. Town hall meetings attended by organized, disruptive, paid-to-protest people could, would, and should be held liable and accountable for the costs they cause for their disruption. Our tax dollars should at least insure our safety and freedom to speak intelligently at our local town hall.
There are also assault laws on the books for those who would go out and do damage to people without just cause, as in the case of Mr. Savage. There are also ‘hate crime’ laws that could and should be enforced for political activists who assault people who simply do not agree with their political candidate of choice. (e.g. elderly beaten for wearing a MAGA hat or T-Shirt)
To be verbally, physically, and/or psychologically assaulted by persons with no intelligent conscious is simply not right, and violates the rights of the innocent. One may protest peacefully in accordance with the laws. However, the new progressive types who are being paid to organize, think there are no laws, and they are above the laws.
Once upon a time, the laws were enforced to protect the innocent. Neither taxpayers nor their elected officials should be afraid to attend town hall meetings, or go to a restaurant of their choosing without being verbally assaulted or physically harmed. Just my humble opinion on this topic.
