Boustany is my rep. I’ll have to keep my eye on this race and plan on putting a Landry campaign sign below my Gadsden flag. Landry’s getting more headlines lately than Boustany, for sure.
Some guy in Michigan found a couple of ice meteorites several years ago, couldn’t get anyone interested in testing them. So he spent the money to have tests done and was scheduled to have a press conference today at a Ramada Inn. If I find the news link, I’ll post it.
We coonasses are nice folks and no, I don’t think folks in Jennings will put up with it. Law enforcement in Jeff Davis Parish don’t take kindly to that kind of disruption.
The state police have been patrolling the town recently, a lot of confrontations, possibly drug related. There have also been 7 or 8 women murdered by a serial killer there in the last 4 or 5 years and no progress made on the cases. The town folks are under a lot of duress there.
For privacy purposes my sister and her husband have never used their actual home address, that may explain why they never received census form back in 2000 either. As for PO union workers possibly being involved in forms not getting to Republican areas, I could consult my brother-in-law, a postal worker and a hopey changey supporter (barf). Never mind, I find it difficult enough to sit in the same pew at church, for sure I don’t want to start another “Bush’s fault” rant.
I was so p-o’d this morning I harshly told a co-worker that anyone who voted for Mary Landrieu helped with the takeover of health. Co-worker responded with “I don’t think I voted for her.” WTF? Think? Must have been too damn ashamed to take the blame.
I worked at a refinery there back in the late ‘80s. I asked why manpower counts were so high for a unit shutdown. One answer - they don’t use power tools for much of the work, that way work is completed slower, need more people to finish on time, therefore, need to import more people.
So, 10 billion at about $800/month more or less. That’s over 12 million people who will get an extra month of benefits. Yet, not all 12 million have reached the end of benefits I’m guessing. So, who’s to say that, if by a miracle the economy bounces back and jobs open up, any of the 10 billion will be repealed. (Can you tell I’m in the process of filling out fed tax return and a have major case of the red-a$$?)
