The Senator is vilified for following Obama's pay-as-you-go rules.
Throughout his Hall of Fame baseball career, Jim Bunning was famous for the brush back pitch: a fastball inside to a batter crowding the plate. Now Mr. Bunning, a Republican from Kentucky who is retiring after this year, is throwing a political brush back in the Senate on behalf of fiscal responsibility.
And all hell has broken loose. Mr. Bunning has dared to put a hold on a $10 billion spending bill to extend jobless insurance and fund transportation projects. Mr. Bunning says he won't yield until the Senate finds a way to pay for the new spending with cuts somewhere else in the $3.5 trillion budget. For this perfectly reasonable stance, Mr. Bunning has become the Beltway and media villain of the hour. We'd call it his finest hour.

Bunning 2012
Wow. And the WSJ applauds. That’s the most amazing part.
The Senator is vilified for following Obama's pay-as-you-go rules.
Way to go, Senator Jim Bunning! I am calling his office tomorrow to tell him to stand strong, and don't back down to the quisling Repubs or socialist-fascist demoRAT bastards!
Out of a mammoth, bloated $3.5 trillion, the dimwits can't find something else to cut in order pay for this? Shoot, the demoRATs spill that much when they walk from their limos into their gilded offices!
Stand strong Sen Jim Bunning!
Of course, now Bunning relents because the GOP is scared of the backlash from the public.
He just caved in.....is the bill paid for?
And to think a man of that stature is about to be replaced by a Fruitcake, and that’s if we’re lucky.
I remember being a 13-year old kid watching Bunning pitch a perfect game against the stinkin' Mets on Father's Day, 1964.
Just thought I'd throw in a few pics to keep you knuckelheads interested.
Sad he couldn’t find any other Repubs to be fiscally responsible. More proof they need to go packing.
Pray for America and Senator Bunning
I do respect him for standing by his principles. I just wish he had taken a stand when the spending was in favor of those who got us into this mess.
For King of Hell?
Bunning is actively doing all he can to hurt Americans who are looking for work!
LOL
CNN reported that he capitulated an hour or so ago.
Pity. I thought he was one of the good ones...
Well, look at it this way.
The POINT was made.
And sometimes that’s all that’s needed.
It’s indisputable.
