The “congregational singing” taking place at the close of the RNC 2020 convention flies in the face of all the warnings and restrictions on public worship, especially in with ban on public singing because of the risk of spread by breath droplets. I think this genius.

My Quest Diagnostics anti-body test was negative. I can't help but feel that there is something fishy with this and the other tests that are being pushed on us. It seems almost impossible to me that I was not exposed to the novel coronavirus. Here is why I feel that way: 1. About a week after sitting for 3 hours in an enclosed room to hear a young pastor's oral ordination exam, a fellow examiner alerted me that he had tested positive for the virus and his whole house was on lockdown (end of March). Three members of this pastor's...

Does Losartan block the receptor used by the Coronavirus? Medically reviewed by Carmen Fookes, BPharm Last updated on Mar 30, 2020. Official Answer by Drugs.com Losartan is not a receptor, but it does block a chemical (angiotensin II), from binding to a receptor, type 1 angiotensin 2 (AT1), which lowers blood pressure. Losartan does not block the virus causing COVID-19, called SARS-CoV-2, but it may reduce the activity of the renin-angiotensin system, which is overactive in people with high blood pressure, which may increase their risk of developing lung complications from COVID-19. Some animal studies found losartan beneficial at reducing...

Pennacchio to NJ State Health Department: Begin an Immediate Retrospective Analysis of the Effectiveness of HCQ as a Prophylactic Treatment for COVID-19 As evidence continues to mount supporting the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) against the coronavirus, New Jersey remains behind the curve in its approach to treatment and prevention of COVID-19. Numerous doctors have joined Senator Joe Pennacchio in his call to unshackle them, and allow doctors to treat patients and prescribe HCQ as both a treatment and early preventative against this virus.

I don't know if this kind of question is allowed on Free Republic, but given that we have lots of people who have created wealth for themselves on here, I am wondering about something. I came into $2000 unexpectedly and thought I would use it to learn how to invest in the stock market as an independent investor. Thankfully, if it went away tomorrow I would be fine. I opened up an account on a low-cost online brokerage. This brokerage has investment ratings--- A, B, C, D, etc. I am wondering if these have any value or are they bupkus?...

Yesterday was a powerful day for me. I had the privilege, along with other pastors and leaders from the NJ Shore region to be guests of Tom MacArthur at the lying in honor viewing of Billy Graham. Billy Graham's life and ministry a personal impact on me, as is true for probably millions around the globe.

What is the relationship between DJT's ascension to power and the exposure of lib hypocrisy re: sexual harassment? May have been discussed elsewhere, but can't help but wonder.

I read the daily office for my morning devotions. Today's Old Testament reading is Isaiah 45:18-45. The reason it struck me is that the whole chapter begins with these words-- "Thus says the LORD to His anointed, to CYRUS, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed" The actual text of the reading, addressed to Cyrus is: 18For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it;...

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump believes that leading Southern Baptist Convention ethicist Russell Moore is a "truly a terrible representative" of Evangelicalism. The Manhattan billionaire businessman-turned-politician, who frequently takes to Twitter to attack the character of his critics and opponents, lashed out at the president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission with a sharply worded tweet Monday morning. "@drmoore Russell Moore is truly a terrible representative of Evangelicals and all of the good they stand for. A nasty guy with no heart!" Trump tweeted at 5:05 a.m. EST Monday morning. Howdy--I have been interested in the Stump for the Trump girls. Wonder who they are and if they are a product of trumps campaign. Here is an interesting fact. Their website--webesisters.com has this whois listing: Domain Name: WEBESISTERS.COM Registrar URL: http://www.godaddy.com Registrant Name: Registration Private Registrant Organization: Domains By Proxy, LLC Name Server: NS25.DOMAINCONTROL.COM Name Server: NS26.DOMAINCONTROL.COM DNSSEC: unsigned This tells me the girls are sophisticated enough to hide the identity of who their domain name is registered to. Any thoughts. Just really curious because they are so good, such a phenom and really if they are a trump product...

Why A Principled-Conservative, Bible-Believing Protestant, and Counter-cult Expert Will Vote for Mitt Romney 1. Politics is not the church. It is the art of the possible. Often we choose the lesser of two evils, which is also the evil of two lessers. It is a fallen world. Get over it. Be romantic and optimistic in the primaries (as I was with Michele Bachmann); then get realistic when things narrow down. 2. Protest votes are pointless. They send no message, except that you have robbed the better of the two candidates of a vote. Like it or not, we are stuck...

My ancestor Daniel Conklin moved from New York to New Jersey in 1850. Today on the drive home from NYC I was lamenting that if Corzine wins, I was going to have to leave my ancestral home. Tonights results give me hope that I can stay. Time will tell.
