My ancestor Daniel Conklin moved from New York to New Jersey in 1850. Today on the drive home from NYC I was lamenting that if Corzine wins, I was going to have to leave my ancestral home. Tonights results give me hope that I can stay. Time will tell.
A lot of patriotic Americans would have deserted Jersey had Corzine won.
They were calling talk radio hosts all week to discuss this, and I believe you guys.
Glad to see that Governor Christie is in charge of things now!
Take out the trash also at the state, county and local levels as well!
Interesting. Those Conklins do get around.
Nah. The Rats still control the legislature and the courts. It will take a miracle to save New Jersey, and Chris Christie isn’t that.
If if wasn’t for a high paying job I’d be gone. I’d rather not die in this Rat infested state.
The party of “LINCOLN” was won two big battle tonite, VIRGINIA and NEW JERSEY!
The REVOLUTION has started - and we’re marching thru to victory. We’re going to lose a small skirmish in northern NY, but the war has been joined!
Let’s gear up for 2010.
LET’S ROLLLLLLLL!!!!
My family came here late 1800s.
All we’ve been dreaming about now is moving out.
Our children left the state. Taxes too high.
Hey there, you!!!
Looks like God has brought “hope and change” to NJ! Someone tell Obama.
Just heard Christie’s acceptance speech, and it was a great one.
I was concerned all day that the vote fraud would put Corzine over the top, but it didn’t.
The news from Virginia was also heartening—Gov, Lt. Gov, and AG—all GOP wins by a substantial margin.
Still praying for a Hoffman win in NY-23.
Tell your most direct living ancestors that I said hello, and give my regards to your lovely bride and kids.
All is well, here in southern Delaware.
And I am very happy for you Garden Staters tonight!
If people really knew what Corzine blew money on they wouldn’t be saying that Christie can’t clean this place up.
It is very doubtful Christie is going to invest in a hospital in Camden for embryonic stem cell research.
Billions earmarked for that.
There will be changes here.
Christie is tough.
“Christie is tough.”
He’s not tough enough to take on the Abbott decision and $30,000 per pupil per year school funding in Newark. He’s just not up for the real fight that needs to be fought.
Thanks so much. Of course migrating from Jersey couldn’t happen anytime with Mom & Dad still hale and hardy at 82 and the rest of their children so far away, but it is always in the back of my mind. Gary and Joan are finally biting the dust and moving to Lancaster County. Don’t know if you heard. I do really have a sense of relief. It’s going to be an uphill battle, but God is able. All my wife’s morris county relatives are heavily involved in the Tea Party movement. We had several folk from the church go to DC for 09/12. Keeping hope alive. Good to hear from you.
30K per pupil? In a cash strapped state?
He should only need to shine the light on the waste and fraud. Let the land owners and taxpayers, statewide, who are having their pockets picked get tough.
Christie can probably fire many of Corzine’s buddies and save the taxpayers at least a million or two.
I hope that he doesn’t invest in stem cells. Here in Maryland our last Republican governor, Bob Ehrlich, did just that, to the tune of millions of dollars.
I love and miss Governor Bog in the Governor’s Mansion, but this was just a form of corporate payback to bio-tech and medical in Maryland. It was hi-tech welfare.
Embryonic stem cells are a loser for tax-payers. They should be privately funded.
Seriously, I was thinking the same thing.. except I was thinking Florida.
Abbott is pretty much dead in NJ
There is so much corruption here that before long Christie will be forced to have serious security protection everywhere he goes.
The waste in Newark is criminal. His Lt. Governor will have her work cut out for her.
It’s good for the country that NJ has rid itself of Corzine. Sorry you don’t feel that way.
I DO
Bttt
