Coronado and Blue Ridge are currently tied up across from each other on the same pier. They came here for a "temporary forward deployment" while the Blue Ridge went through a yard period. I think they'll be headed back from whence they came pretty soon.

Actually, I'm 29. Terp just happened to see me mention that I had been on the Indy once here on Free Republic. I was a brand-new FC2 back then and one of his chaff-launchers was outside of my CIWS mount.

I wage a one-man crusade against poverty every day...by going to MY JOB, LIVING WITHIN MY MEANS, and NOT CAUSING CHAOS IN MY ADOPTED REGION, WHICH DRIVES OFF INVESTMENT AND ECONOMIC GROWTH. Sadly, this is lost on a lot of people who feel that "rich" people have some magic money tree that they aren't sharing.

Burning their flag sends the wrong message. Taking examples from the Middle East, burning a flag symbolizes hate, fear, and more than just a little envy. I don't hate, fear, or envy the French.
How do I feel about them? Well, it's mostly contempt mixed with condescending amusement. To properly symbolize this, I feel that it is better to toss a French flag on the ground and urinate on it, like a dog marking its territory. Best of all, everyone can join in on the protest without having to buy more flags! It's appropriate and economical!

Depleted uranium is not a weapon of mass destruction; it is a heavy-metal based armor penatrator used by CIWS (my weapon system) and many other 20mm gatling cannons, such as those used by attack airplanes.
"Weapons of mass destruction" and "depleted uranium" (hinting at nuclear weapons without actually making an accusation) are just buzzwords to get the attention of the media. These people are using fearmongering tactics to scare the ignorant.

I'm still amazed that the party most notorious for anti-war freakishness is still touting this guy's military record as a reason to vote for him. My sister-in-law thinks I ought to vote for him 'because he was in the Navy in Vietnam, and you're in the Navy too.' As if that should be reason enough.
