  • Jeb Bush Doesn't 'Anticipate' A Run For Prez. (RPOF Friends Say 50/50 Chance He's In)

Would vote for Jeb in a heartbeat! Believe he should be more tough on immigration issues, but I'm not a one issue voter (and I believe he would find a good balance there that is more conservative than most think).

If he jumps in, he can certainly win...and would defeat Obama much easier than Palin / Bachman would.

UnF'ing REAL if the GOP does this - This guy breaks it off in our A$$'s on healthcare and we turn around and now suggest we are going to give him another blank check to increase our debt / spend money......This cannot really be an option. There is no way this trail ballon gets past tomorrow afternoon.

This is WORSE than having the balls to stand up and VOTE for it. Fk I have more respect for the left, in this case.

Qualified to be POTUS - Well the sadly reality is, since Obama has been elected to the office.....virtually about 50% of this Country (or more) is qualified to sit in that office now. Obama lowered the bar of substance to hold that office that will only hurt this great Country in the long run. That can't be undone.

There very likely is no logic to follow. The person very well may not even exist. Or if he does, he is a MSM plant and will go along and create a fictional narrative the MSM can spin. The MSM is in constant psyops on the American public any longer. 100% in bed with the DEMs and seeking to put them in power. I remember in 2008, it was pointed out one particular “Independent” voter was quoted several times the same day at different events in complete different States (of course pushing the Voting for Obama line).

Unreal but at the same time so predictable of the MSM playbook. Don't mention Obama’s continuous all time low job performance ratings for months in a row now. But here they come out with a gimme “personal” views poll on him and tout the poll loudly.

No way is Obama up Vs any of these candidates. If the election were today Obama would lose. Everyone in DC knows this. No way in hell does he win reelection with unemployment at 9.1%, with gas and food prices where they are and with the current direction overall of the economy.

The economy either adds lots of real jobs (not simply taking people off the charts) but adds real jobs and lowers the unemployment rate to 7.9% by next Oct (2012) or he is toast.....to whomever the GOP candidate is.

I think there is a ground swell building for Rick. Also, Santorum is a level above Palin in ability to articulate a point. To stick to a premise when I have watched / listened to them both.

Rich Santorum is who I’m behind. He is articulate, he has lead before on issues within Gov’t, he has passion and he would match up extremely well Vs Obama on the National level.

If Osbama was a Republican the lamestream media would air an interview with one of these 5 million every broadcast.

Excellent point - Exactly right, every nightly news program, every night of the week would feature how awful everything is. Interview after interview with hopeless, jobless Americans would be happening every night......"Broken Government", "Broken Dreams", "Broken Faith" stories would be constant up until Nov.

Yet today, it is constantly one remote positive story after another, or completely nothing on the economy night after night on the News programs.

Exactly. The MSM / Late night TV included are being ridiculous and brutal on her - Unfair without question. But that is the reality of the day for any member of the GOP, even more so her X 10. This is a topic / premise that needs to be moved away from - This is a topic the public doesn't care about at the same time for the 5 second soundbite middle America she will lose on this issue every night of the week, with how the MSM and Late night TV can spin it.

This is the way they play to marginalize her (for the WH/DEMs).

She needs to switch the topic/premise now. On to big issues. Jobs, WOT, Repeal of ObamaCare, etc.

Where the hell are all our serious conservative leaders?? Christie is off my even potential support list if this is the case. If he is truly this non-serious about the issue of climate change. The notion that man is a serious cause in any sense is just pure BS, push for political reasons. Clear as day to anyone who is willing to be intellectually honest on the subject.

I'm down to Cain and Palin now it appears. That is sad in this day and age. I don't believe in a life long positions of Gov't, but it is a nice transition to move from within a position of Gov't power (on some level) to the WH. Coming completely from the outside does not bode well. Who is the last person to win the Presidency that was not a sitting member of Gov't (State or Fed) while running?

We need someone else to jump in. Obama is tremendously beatable. But I fear we are going to put up the 1 or 2 candidates that he can beat. A la, Reid in NV last year. Angle was likely the only person in the whole State of NV that could make that race about HER, not about Reid and NV's terrible condition. And of course, she lost.

You are wrong on all accounts - Especially Iraq but also with regard to Pak - The whole idea of Pred/Reap attacks started during the GWB years - So did DA Ops within Pak - So did the placement of fusion cells inside Pak - So did all the logistics that allowed future Ops inside Pak to happen (including the UBL Op).

You clearly have very little idea what you are talking about - Amateurs talk tactics, the professionals talk logistics, logistics, logistics. And all the logistics that allowed the Ops running today in Pak (both Pred/Reap and DAs) are from those very logistics put in place during GWB years.

As for the refocus on Pak regions (by Obama) that is only possible because of the success elsewhere provided via the leadership of GWB. Furthermore if you think Iraq was a some type of counterweight to a terrorist supporting / expanding Iran. That is foolishness. Saddam and Iran had their issues but hurting the West was not one of them.

Bottom line is, in a number of these events we most certainly would be better off putting trigger pullers through those doors, not JDAMs ontop of them.

Yes, there is more immediate risk, to the boots going in... but years in to a war like this, there is much more prolonged risk by not taking that risk up front through those doors.....Now this is not in all cases. But in some of these situations the Civ casualty risk / enemy KIA reward is not worth it.

With that said, Karzai can pound sand if I could have comments behind closed doors with him. And hopefully some within the current Admin are telling him such (as the past Administration most certainly

No. Karzai is speaking to a domestic element within Astan. We know it, he knows it and there is no reason to publicly give the Taliban more Propganda to spin within those Mtns that Amercia is leaving soon and if you support us (in any form) you will pay dearly once we are gone. Those within influence CONUS, should not be giving such propaganda to the Taliban. Just as Obama should have never given out deadlines, benchmarks with dates. This cost lives. Real warriors lives were lost because of such. Trust me.

Agree with plenty of what she said - Though she is wrong on Astan - We do not need more people CONUS in positions of influence suggesting we are going to cut and run. The Karzai Gov't is not who that will play to. It plays to those out on the front lines deciding whether to support us or not. Whether to give us HUMINT or are they going to hang in 3,6, 12 months because of it......Which the Taliban Propaganda is feeding them ever since Obama came into office.

Astan was always going to be a long process. Not an easy one. Just as GWB saw Iraq through, with leadership and resolve....that is what we need in Astan. It will be worth it in the end, if we can do it. If we don't, we'll pay down the road again...

Sarah is playing to domestic polls here and to cut at the CinC. While Obama deserves some cutting on, our warriors down range don't and when one cuts on the CinC (in that role) it is often the warriors down range that pay the price (not the sitting CinC).

Yeah, he was so ineffective he beat a sitting VP (whom the media constantly told us was presiding over the best economy of all time). He then increased our margins in 2002, won re-election with increased Congressional margins in 2004. No, GWB was effective and Conservative to boot for the most part. He just has the personality not to fire back at people. He respected the Office of the Presidency too much to constantly be in campaign mode (right or wrongly).

Who served GWB terribly was his PR staff and RNC in total after 2004. GWB position on immigration in 2005 did not help at all either. That was a terrible tactical decision. He should have went strongly for Soc Sec reform and border security. If that would have happened we never lose the House in 2006 (as the economy was strong in 2006). We lost in 2006 because our base stayed home over immigration (Iraq had nothing or little to do with 2006).
