The long list of troubles for New York's one-man corruption machine is mind-boggling. Today we get news that Rangel's 2007 income somehow jumped anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million higher than he originally reported. Among the new items on Rangel’s amended 2007 financial disclosure report were an account at the Congressional Federal Credit Union worth at least $250,000, an investment account with at least $250,000, land in southern New Jersey and stock in PepsiCo and fast food conglomerate Yum! Brands. None of those investments appeared on the original report, which was filled out by hand and filed in May 2008....

In case you missed it, the Obama administration challenged the Congressional Budget Office's ObamaCare cost predictions on Saturday. White House budget director Peter Orszag criticized the CBO after it issued a cost estimate that halted momentum for an independent Medicare panel that Obama wants. Orszag accused the CBO of exaggerating the future costs of the current proposal, which the CBO estimates at nearly $240 biilion over the next ten years.
