The long list of troubles for New York's one-man corruption machine is mind-boggling.
Today we get news that Rangel's 2007 income somehow jumped anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million higher than he originally reported.
Among the new items on Rangels amended 2007 financial disclosure report were an account at the Congressional Federal Credit Union worth at least $250,000, an investment account with at least $250,000, land in southern New Jersey and stock in PepsiCo and fast food conglomerate Yum! Brands. None of those investments appeared on the original report, which was filled out by hand and filed in May 2008.
According to the original report, Rangels net worth was between $516,015 and $1,316,000, while the amended report showed his net worth, as of Dec. 31, 2007, roughly double that amount at least $1,028,024 and as much as $2,495,000.
Rangel also revised his disclosed investment income from 2007. The original report showed he had received between $6,511 and $17,900, but the new report shows between $45,423 and $134,700.
Rangel is an equal opportunity corruption machine, ignoring city, state and federal laws alike.
He has been accused of violating city rules by maintaining multiple rent-controlled residences in New York; he failed, for two decades, to tell the IRS about income from a rental property in the Dominican Republic; and the Washington Post reported last year that Rangel was using official letterhead to solicit corporate contributions for an earmark-subsidized education center at City College of New York that bears his name.
Consequences may be coming soon, as his legal costs are dwindling his campaign war chest...

His constituents will reelect him anyway. The only way to get rid of him is through indictment. I would almost hate to see the old boy go. When Pelosi first took office she wanted to bypass the committee process and just enact her moonbat agenda directly on the floor of the house. Rangel was too much of a turf warrior and too let that happen and he was too senior for Pelosi to overrule. If Rangel leaves Pelosi will get to stick in who she wants for Ways and Means chairman, and I suspect it will probably be our old buddy Murtha.
Response: No kidding!
Whoever wrote that article must be a racist. I can find no other explanation.
And that’s just all the stuff that has been found so far!
You can apply that adjective from the top down starting with our dear leader.
The title is an understatement.
Charlie is just trying to get his share back from ‘the man’!
The guy is oilier than his pommade.
A “one-man corruption machine”? HA! He’s got plenty of company.
He's a Democrat. There will be no consequences of any kind. It will be business as usual.
The only difference between him and a convicted felon is he hasn’t been to trial yet.
The writer seemingly doesn't understand the difference between wealth (or "net worth") and income....
Hey, he just forgot all that extra money. He’s a Dem so he gets a pass.
