This latest poll shows more slippage in public opinion on Obama and health reform. This revealing map shows that the Democrat leadership is largely out of touch with the plain folks who their Blue Dog brethren must listen to. Disaster is about to strike the Democrat Party, and it's gonna be a lot of fun to watch.

Remember when Bush was president how the media and the liberals, but I repeat myself, always talked about how the President was REQUIRED to meet people in the middle--to compromise, not be such an idealogue, ignore his "extreme" base?
And yet, Hussein isn't told to do this...
“And yet, Hussein isn’t told to do this.”
It’s good to be king.
As long as they don't take us with them. That is my main concern otherwise, pass the popcorn.
That’s the thing about the Culture of Death; ultimately they get what they want; the question is, how many of us will they take with them?
Democrats are so obsessed with passing this legislation, they are ignoring the outright anger about 75% of the nation has toward this plan and democrats who are on board with passing it.
If they do this despite public outrage, it will be at their own peril. There are far too many solutions to America's healthcare problems than this massive overhaul. Common sense dictates they should be attempting to correct the problems with existing government controlled plans before embarking on what they are clearly unprepared to handle. Fraud would be a good place to start - and once that's under control, streamlining could be given some eyeballing.
I'm beginning to doubt that this guy can make it to the end of his first term without setting off Civil War II. I know he's so self-centered that he doesn't realize things are so far gone that such a thing is possible. Otherwise he'd have actually implemented a stimulus intended to start working right away rather than one timed to help him in the 2012 election.
The very fact that he would delay the effects of a stimulus in his own self interest in spite of the dire economic straits we're in may prove to be more of an incitement to violence than even the proposed health care legislation.
The economy hasn't even bottomed out yet and it looks like Obama will beat my estimate that he'd be washed up before Thanksgiving. I now doubt he can maintain positive approval numbers all the way to Labor Day. Once the guy has negative numbers, he'll start being obviously mean and intolerant of everyone, even his own party. That's when things will get really dangerous, and I don't say that lightly.

Obammy’s ship is sinking fast!
No wonder that evil genius has indicated he feels he can begin taking credit for the destruction of the U.S. as "the culmination of my life's work".
Hitler is surely anticipating his companionship in Hell.
Actually I think it's going to like watching Katrina.
Self-centered, hate-filled people can only put up the pretense of civility when they're getting their way.
When they don't, they're ugly... and dangerous.
That is my main concern otherwise, pass the popcorn.
Tofu chips?

I’ve been watching some of the Party Propaganda Ministry shows (on CNN and MSNBC), and I see “strategists” and “analysts” (Democrats, though these outlets rarely identify them by party) have been saying Health Insurance Reform will pass this year. The Dems won't let next year be a repeat of 1994. Back then, they lost the house because they couldn't pass HillaryCare.
The problem isn’t that they didn't learn from 1994. The problem is what they learned from 1994 is all wrong.
I personally also think that we the people need to think about making more changes than just throwing the Dems out. I'd be in favor of a “New Independence Movement,” perhaps with a new document, maybe a new “Declaration of Independence.” I'm in favor of throwing out every incumbent (including recalls for Senators not up for election in 2010).
The only incumbents that I would even consider voting for would be anyone who voted against TARP, ARRA, SCHIP expansion, The Omnibust 2009 budget (in the case of Senators, they had to vote for the McCain amendment for the spending freeze), Every version of "Cash For Clunkers" and against this upcoming health care bills, and against anything that isn't an actual 20% spending cut for the rest of this session.
You are correct on many levels. Corruption is rampant in both parties and IMHO most Americans put little or no trust in politicians presently allegedly representing us. Booting them out of office, one by one is not only a good idea, but a necessity in order to change the present political mentality that we the people are pawns in their game of appeasement to lobbyists, donors and the myriad people behind the scenes who have the brains and the $$$$ to physically and actually run both political parties.
