    On the Record with Greta
Former Gov Pataki endorses... John Kasich? Going all in for a contested convention apparently. Greta mentioned that he has only won one state. The Guv dodged the question and droned on about how Kasich is what America needs, blah blah...
  • Meghan McCain: "Conservatives are Yucky" (Satire)

In the spacious apartment of the newly minted media celebrity Meghan McCain, everthing has the look of middle-of-the-road decor along with a bit of unique style, from the baby rhinocerous figurine collection in the hutch to the portrait of former President Gerald Ford front-and-center in the foyer. The atmosphere, however, resembles more of a political campaign. An aide scurries by and a scheduling secretary busily works on a laptop and haggles with would-be interviewers as we sit down for a very brief interview. "I can't imagine I would have been any busier had Daddy won!", she laughs. Just then her...

SAN DIEGO -- An FA-18 Hornet fighter jet crashed in a University City neighborhood near I-805 and Genessee shortly before noon Monday, destroying two homes in a blaze that sent a thick black plume of smoke into the sky. The pilot was able to eject from the aircraft before the crash and has been transported to a local hospital in "mild" condition.
  • Chris Fowler of ESPN Gameday on Minority Coach Hiring

On the discussion of why there aren't "enough" African American coaches in college football, Chris Fowler discussed the lure of big money NFL contracts for black assistant coaches, etc, then the discussion naturally gravitated to the racism angle, "behind the scenes". "Among those behind-the-scenes financial backers of big universities, there may not be...you know...that many people who voted for Obama..." Sheesh, now I can't even watch ESPN college football gameday without being told that I'm racist for not voting for Obama.
  • My Choice (Vanity)

Every election I send out a mass email to family and friends, attaching a cleverly-written article I found that echoes my beliefs. Not this time. I'm writing from my heart and in my not-so-professionally crafted words. I'm hoping and praying for John McCain to be elected president. Not because he's a holy and perfect man, and not because his opponent is an evil man. Just that he is the leader we need right now. He has demonstrated his love for country by enduring the worst kind of hell this earth can dish out, and in 4+ terms as senator has...

Dragon's Fury-The Long March (Vol IV) is an outstanding read that lives up to the anticipation of those who, like myself, are fans of the first 3 volumes of the Dragon's Fury series. It also can be considered a stand-alone volume with all the background the author provides, however I would urge any fan of military techno-thrillers to read the first 3 in progression first. The Long March brings an exciting culmination to the scary, near-future World War III scenario depicted in the series, but still leaves the reader longing for more. The techie weapons system writing is very cool,...
