The first time President Bush approval hit 44.0 percent was exactly when Hurricane Katrina hit, FIVE YEARS into his Presidency. Obama has gotten there much faster - in just his first 19 months!! At this rate of decline, he would finish his term at just 14% after 4 years!!!
  • Clinton and MSM on the "conservative political activism/protest is violence" campaign

"Former President Bill Clinton marks today’s 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing with an op-ed in the New York Times that continues his cautionary campaign against violent rhetoric. Following up on statements made last week and again this weekend, Clinton again loosely connects the tone of the country circa 1995 to that of today, warning that we are getting close to crossing the same violent line that was crossed fifteen years ago."

In just one year, he's already acknowledging massive failures on the part of the Democrats. Just imagine what things will be like 1 year from now, with an inflamed war taking place surrounding Israel, Iran and the Saudis, and unemployment going even further, and conservatives gaining power back to some degree. If he's 48-49% now, in a year he'll be in the low 30's!

Iran has signed a one-billion-euro (1.44-billion-dollar) deal with a German firm to build 100 gas turbo-compressors, an industry official said in newspapers on Wednesday. The contract provides for the unnamed German firm to transfer the know-how to build, install and run the equipment needed to exploit and transport gas, said Iran's Gas Engineering and Development Company head, Ali Reza Gharibi. The German company has already delivered 45 such turbo-compressors to Iran, Gharibi said, according to Iran Daily. Industry experts said he was apparently referring to Siemens.

The "death of newspapers" has drawn powerful political interest. Troubled by the possible shuttering of his hometown paper, Sen. John Kerry reached out to the Boston Globe on Tuesday, then called for Senate hearings to address the woes of the nation's print media. "To the Boston Globe family," the Massachusetts Democrat wrote to employees of the 132-year-old publication, which faces closure unless it can come up with $20 million in union concessions to parent company the New York Times by May 1. The Globe is losing $1 million a week.

Election long since over. 2010 not too far away. Country fights for essential freedoms as ObamaHill prepares to stampede. Funding is obviously a huge area towards the next election. Of available candidates, they need to start planning now. What are some specific companies/industries/foundations whose interests would somewhat closely or closely align with Fred Thompson? Those who may favor him for funding or even representation. Defense and legal are obvious ones, but can anyone else think of some others?

Hard to believe Disney made a film like this 20 years ago. No, it's not as explicitly Christian as "The Nativity", but it's got the basic elements so often lacking today in what passes for Christmas films. It's clean, completely family-centered, focuses on a simple conversion of heart, and really is just about small town America with actors/actresses that look like your next door neighbors. Very simply, it embraces "Merry Christmas", which is probably banned from Disney memos these days...

"It may come as something of a shock to those millions planning trips to Washington for the Jan. 20 inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama that he isn't really legally capable of taking the oath. It's the birth certificate thing. That's because he was born in Kenya to an alien father and isn't a natural-born American as the Constitution requires and the copy of his Hawaii birth certificate looks fake to many and the state won't release the original, which makes everything that much more suspicious. This controversy has been brewing for many months online with few taking it seriously. The...

"Nonetheless an attorney in Philadelphia, Philip Berg, filed a lawsuit claiming Obama lost his U.S. citizenship when his mother married an Indonesian man. Berg says Obama failed to take an oath of allegiance when he turned 18. Obama has attempted to silence any critics by producing a birth certificate from Hawaii, proving he was born there in 1961. Berg however is demanding an original, and not a copy from the Obama camp. Obama's team filed a motion to dismiss Berg's lawsuit, but they also made a motion to block discovery. Brian Smith is a West Palm Beach attorney registered as...

For the last few weeks I have been making evening phone calls for absentee ballots push, made signs and manned a recruiting table at the McCain Jacksonville rally, helped set-up for the Palin rally, and have put in roughly 30 hours of neighborhood precinct walking thus far. Please consider - no, wait - don't consider, just do it -doing neighborhood precinct walking. It's critical, it's fun, you get to exercise, and in many states, you get PAID to do it. All you need is a car, a willing attitude, and you can even recruit a bunch of friends to contribute...

Bluebird to Nest-egg, Operation Scout the "O" a go. Just kidding. Anyway, stopped by Metro Park to see what the Dems are up to, size of crowd. Long lines. Heard numbers of 14,000 - very possible, yet can't see into park. In addition to cameras being banned, no cell phones are allowed being blared by volunteers on bullhorns. No lawn chairs either, nor food or drink. Hyper-controlling Dems for ya there. Saw one guy holding an "Abortion is Black Genocide" sign and "Abraham Lincoln was a Republican". Gave him a nod and a thumbs up. After a few minutes, I...

Russia said Friday it was renovating a Syrian port for use by the Russian fleet, signaling an effort to establish a firmer foothold in the Mediterranean at a time of tensions with the United States over Georgia. Syria was Moscow's strongest Mideast ally during the Cold War. The alliance largely waned after the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union, though Russia has continued some weapons sales to Damascus. But Syrian President Bashar Assad has increasingly reached out to Russia recently, including seeking weapons and offering broader military cooperation. Friday's announcement was the first tangible sign of any new cooperation. The...
  • Palin forces Clinton voters to choose between "pro-women" and "pro-abortion" (Opinion/Vanity)

This is not just a great victory for the pro-life movement because a pro-life female will be campaigning as VP for the first time. It also is the cause of an even greater victory - forcing the pro-abortion culture prevalent among Democrats to choose between being "for women" and being "pro-abortion. It was well-documented that Clinton's supporters among women have threatened to vote for McCain as a protest vote instead of backing Obama. Now, the deck is stacked even more towards that end. For the first time as a political voting bloc, female pro-abort voters will be FORCED TO CHOOSE...
