The first time President Bush approval hit 44.0 percent was exactly when Hurricane Katrina hit, FIVE YEARS into his Presidency.

Obama has gotten there much faster - in just his first 19 months!! At this rate of decline, he would finish his term at just 14% after 4 years!!!

This is depressing news to me. President Bush did not do anything wrong during Hurricane Katrina except cave in to the Democrats and fire his own man for no reason.

Obama on the other hand is conquering the United States for Islam.

To the real person/persons in power Obama is nothing but expendable....mark my words. He will be thrown overboard one way or another if the is perception that his fall will bring down the rest of the commie house.....I pray for his (and our) safety...these thugs don't play by the rules.

Yep, I just saw a big headline about this in the NY Times...and CNN is all over this....or maybe that was just a dream.

Lets try some Gibbs style rephrasing of the situation, for CNN:

Obama struggles to pull poll ratings out of Bush slump.

Bush poll numbers still pulling Obama down.

Six years after Katrina, popular distrust of government weighs down Obama’s poll numbers.

Subtle racism showing itself is approval poll of President.

I could do this all day.

"Not one single state will go for Obama in 2012."

Wait until the great give-away that's going to occur in October of this year and then again before 2012. As long as the dems can still enslave the minority to buy votes from the majority they will be our rulers.

“I pray for his (and our) safety...these thugs don’t play by the rules”

Interesting theory....the illuminati could go full FT Marcy Park with the One, and the saviour will have truly been sacrificed. Hillary could then swoop in finalize the commie agenda...like Johnson after Kennedy.

Come to think of it, He’d better keep his head on a swivel.

“‘I’d Rather Be A Really Good One-Term President Than A Mediocre Two-Term President’”

He’ll get his wish on the one-term possibility, but unfortunately, that term will be judged far worse than mediocre. A second term is laughable. Judging from his approval ratings, roughly half the voters who put him into office have now figured out their mistake, so he can’t count on them repeating it.

THE PEOPLE WERE WARNED TO GET OUT OF TOWN & THEY JUST WAITED AROUND. just dumb!!

*****************************

Many New Orleanians did not own cars. Public treansportation there is of long standing and was fairly decent. Further, the three major routes leading out of New Orleans could not accomodate a mass evacuation even if everyone had a car and attempted to evacuate. Because of those facts, the official plan emphasized ‘vertical evacuation’.

For years, every single year, New Orleanians were advised and readvised that the plan was for ‘vertical evacuation’ - directing many of the people into high rise office towers and the superdome, etc. That, for decades, WAS the plan. Those people followed their instructions. Their mistake was to believe government officials.

Further, Katrina passed over New Orleans. New Orleans survived the hurricane. It did NOT survive the civic corruption, which saw the funds for levy repairs siphoned away during the years of the Marc Morial administration. During his tenure, citizen complaints about slow leaking, compromised levies were ignored and suppressed.

Louisiana has a statute for negligent homicide. It has no prescription period/stute of limitations attached. A diligent Louisiana AG would start with the low level employees who answered the original complaints, and walk it up the chain with charges of negligent homicide. Of course, all of the physical evidence would be found missing, one way or another.

New Orleans was destroyed by malfeasance, not natural disaster.

FEMA, like many other federal oganizations, is an utter waste of money and should be disbanded.

This is stunning given the disparate treatment given by the media.

Bush was pummeled nonstop and especially so after Katrina.

Obama continues to be propped up and excused by a friendly media and, yet, his approval continues to decline.

Isn’t it terrible when Obama fails to rise to the level of “the soft bigotry of low expectations”?
