I haven’t written here in a year. I’ve been busy with life, I’m getting ready for retirement and want to cruise in a boat for a few years. So, I’ve spent time with my family, my wife and we’ve been working on our plans. But recently I’ve been more and more upset at the lack of caring on the part of many, if not all of the the members of Congress. Both the House and the Senate. The partisan politics of these two political bodies have come recently under fire by both sides and when this past summer “Tea Parties”...

Ladies and Gentlemen, The time has come for you to realize that the United States of America is made up of individuals who believe in Liberty, Freedom and Justice. It’s time those of you we asked to do a job, did that job. Your job is not to tell ME how to behave, how to act, how to give my own money for others. If I want to give my money for a charitable cause I will do so on my own, without prompting. It’s NOT your job to tell me how much gasoline to use, or electricity. If I...

DSCC - Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Dear Rick , If you don't think John McCain is just as dangerous in the White House as George W. Bush, think again. McCain will not reverse the foreign policy mistakes of George Bush. He is content to leave us in Iraq, saying it'd be "fine by me" if we were in Iraq for another 100 years; he is rash on using military force with Iran. He overplays the military card and doesn't seem to appreciate that the real strength of the nation lies in our economy and in our values. We have to...

WASHINGTON — U.S. fighter planes intercepted two Russian bombers flying unusually close to an American aircraft carrier in the western Pacific during the weekend, The Associated Press has learned. A U.S. military official says that one Russian Tupolev 95 buzzed the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz twice, at a low altitude of about 2,000 feet, while another bomber circled about 50 nautical miles out. The official was speaking on condition of anonymity because the reports on the flights were classified as secret.

DSCC - Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Dear Rick , You can't deny the excitement and the electricity in the Democratic Party. We had hundreds of thousands more voters on Super Tuesday than the Republicans, an advantage that was especially pronounced in the battleground states. In all the hubbub, you might have missed Senate Democrats defeating the roadblock Republicans in the Senate - Republicans who were trying to derail an economic stimulus package that will help over 130 million households. Radical right-wing Republicans opposed adding rebates for seniors and disabled veterans but Democrats overcame their obstruction and pushed through a bill...

<p>I finally figured out what that smirk is for. George Bush just can't keep saying his lines with a straight face.</p>
<p>Tonight, he's giving his last State of the Union speech - finally! - and he's bound to claim that he's made American stronger, safer, bigger, and better. But after seven years of his failed policies, nothing could be further from the truth.</p>

The Trans-Asian Axis Wed, 23 January 2008 / 0911 Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and Argentina Filed under: US Military, TransAsian Axis, Survival I’ve not really had time to write much lately, new babies coming into the family, holidays and just generally being “busy”. So, first I apologize to those of you who were regular readers and listeners to the podcast. For everyone though, today I’m going to address something that is becoming a serious issue in the world today. The rise of a new Cold War. America has been the only Superpower - by technical standards - for roughly...

Romney "Disses" Amateur Radio In Televised Town Meeting Posted on Wednesday 16 November 2005 @ 15:48:10 Governor Mitt Romney dismissed the role of Amateur Radio operators in emergency communications during a televised "town meeting" program last night on WCVB's "When Disaster Strikes: Segment Two." The program featured public safety and volunteer organization officials from across Massachusetts among its audience. Host and moderator Natalie Jacobson asked an increasingly-agitated Governor Romney questions about communications interoperability, and communication without commercial power. Romney was next asked by Jacobson, "...so does it come down to ham radio?..." The Governor replied in a disgusted tone, "No,...

Fox news just reported live that a police helicopter reported seeing an individual setting fires in California. I didn't catch the exact location, nor whether they caught him. Further they reported that an FBI internal memo has stated that a detainee from some time back had given the FBI information that the "next strike would come in the form of wild fires". However, this memo didn't mention California. It did mention Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. The memo originated in Denver. I can not locate any other verification of this at this time, but this was reported live on FOX just...

I just listened to this slime-ball live at the UN saying the President of the US was "the Devil" and he could still smell the sulphur. This bastard lives in OUR hemisphere and is closer to us than Hammas, and likely just as dangerous if not more so. Americans had better WAKE the hell up. Sorry, but I have to post this.

http://cbs4denver.com/topstories/loc...094003340.html Tensions Prompt School To Alter Dress Code Mike Hooker Reporting CBS4) WESTMINSTER, Colo. The immigration debate and recent demonstrations over the issue have led to a change in the dress code for a middle school in Adams County. Students at Shaw Heights Middle School are no longer allowed to wear anything that is patriotic, including camouflage pants, because they have become a political symbol for a version of patriotism, CBS4 reports. "It upsets me that we cannot support our troops -- the military," said Kirsten Golgart, an eighth grader who was told she'd be suspended if she didn't change...
