Tell me this. When Bush advocates setting aside 4% of SSA taxes in private accounts, is that number 4% of 100% of the taxes, or is it 4 points of the 12 points being witheld, or 33%? Are we getting 33% freedom, or just 4% freedom?

After the largest GOTV (Get Out the Vote) effort in the history of the Republican Party, the real work is now beginning. I'm talking, of course about the GOTG (Get Out the Gloat) effort. I have been working tirelessly, calling and e-mailing every Democrat I know, to remind them of my incredible superiority in the areas of intelligence, common sense, and political acumen. It is tremendously important that we pay them back in spades for their two years of blathering stupidity. Please post your examples of deication and hard work.

If there are 5 polls, each having a margin of error of 3%, and each showing the same candidate leading by 3% (Bush), what is the cmulative MOE for all 5 polls, if they are combined? I am maintaining that it is far lower than 3%, but am rusty on my statistics. Thanks

Regarding this thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1231976/posts, where I outlined Leatherman Tools support of the treasonous John Kerry, I received this e-mail from them today: Dear Sir or Madam: I assure you I have personally read your e-mail. However, due to the volume of messages received, I cannot give a personalized response to each to you. However, here in a nutshell is a general response: Because I publicly stated how I am going to cast my vote, almost all of you have threatened a boycott against my company. So be it. I took a position, and now I will accept the consequences. I...

Sean had Commerce Secretary Don Evans on today, who did an excellent job of putting the deficit into terms and percentages that were understandable. Something about the deficit now is 5% of GDP, whereas it averaged "X" in the past 50 years I was in my car, and want to get the facts and numbers he talked about. Can anyone help, or point me to a source?

I have a few questions concerning IP addresses, and am fairly ignorant in these areas. I understand that I have a dynamic IP address through Bellsouth.net. Dynamic means that it changes daily. I have noticed that the first two numbers of the address never change, and that they have something to do with my geographic location. A certain website, which I will leave unamed has banned my IP address, and tells me when I try to register that the IP is banned. How can they ban my IP when it changes every day? Are they just banning the first two...

I was just in a thread, and a pop up box that said:"Donate To Free Republic" popped up. If you clicked on o.k., it would come back up again, and there was no way to make it go away. I finally shut down my browser, and came back in.Have we been hacked?

Light Triggers, Hefty Profits The Glock handgun has a storied history of going off unexpectedly, sometimes killing innocent bystanders. So why does US law enforcement love it so? And how has that adoration helped a flood of old police sidearms and confiscated weapons end up in the hands of criminals? by Lynn Hamilton Jan. 26, 2000 (This is a corrected version of this article.) An industry ad for the Glock touts its 'quicker second-shot target acquisition.' Handguns made by Glock Inc. have a nasty reputation for accidental firing and "overfiring." The gun has figured in many of the recent mass ...

Written by Ted Nugent, the rock singer: I'm A Bad American? This pretty much sums it up for me. I like big trucks, big boats, big houses, and naturally, pretty women. I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some midlevel governmental functionary with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts squirting out babies. I don't care about appearing compassionate. I think playing with toy guns doesn't make you a killer - I believe ignoring your kids and giving them Prozac might. I think I'm doing better than the homeless. ...
