Due to illness, no thread last week. Sorry about that. Today is Halloween (at least in most places). As many folks know, especially those in the business of highway planning and building, road construction costs are rising faster than proceeds from the main funding source - the gasoline taxes we pay to the state and federal governments. For the feds, the gas tax is 18.4 cents a gallon. Colorado collects 22 cents a gallon for gasoline and 20.5 cents for diesel fuel.
