My sister and I did not go to this year's inauguration. We are still fighting taxes and fighting for conservative causes. I knew about Cheryl Johnson's election to be Galveston's Tax Assessor. I stay in touch with a number of my Texas buddies.

You misdescribed the area where we had the "jazz funeral." It is not very small. We have had numerous rallies there, and it can and has accommodated hundreds of people. There is even parking for close to a hundred cars. (Lakeside Mall, across the street) can handle more cars. It is what we in New Orleans call a "neutral ground." The area has a memorial for those who died in the Korean War. There is a huge American flag on a very high flagpole and also many smaller flags. We love having events there.
Glad you posted this. I was there for the Jazz funeral and it was a blast!! We second lined with our umbrellas and our catchy signs to some wonderful music by a great brass band. Frozen daiquiris helped the party atmosphere. We had a wonderful time celebrating the fact that Dan Rather will not be a news anchor any more. We think that this is the beginning of the end for the liberal media.
Bobby Jindal is my new Congressman! He replaced David Vitter who just became the senator elect from Louisiana. Both Bobby Jindal and David Vitter are Rhodes scholars. They are smart, ambitious and hard working. Louisiana is truly proud of our newly elected Republicans.
Thank you Swift Boat Veterans. You all really made the difference in this campaign. We are forever grateful to you. I donated four times to your cause. God bless you!!
The Swift Veterans for Truth turned this election around for Pres. Bush. The MSM slimed them, but they were right and they told the truth about Kerry. They fought on and helped Pres. Bush to victory. Thank you Swift Vets! You are the best!!
I agree that the Swift Boat Vets for Truth made the difference in this race. We are grateful to them for helping our wonderful president to win reelection.
