There may finally be a place like home for an iconic pair of red slippers worn by Judy Garland in "The Wizard of Oz" that were stolen from a Minnesota museum 13 years ago. The FBI said officials are expected to announce Tuesday in Minneapolis at 2 p.m. ET that the slippers, stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minn. in August 2005, have been recovered. The ruby slippers were swiped during a heist in which someone broke through a window and broke into the small display case. The shoes were insured for $1 million.

Animal shelters all over the country tend to stay at full capacity. Most are running on a limited budget, and rely heavily on donations. One visit to a shelter, and you can't help but want to help. Some things shelters need are obvious, some are not. Helping may not be as hard as you think.....................

January 3, 2011 Dear Mr. xzxzxzxzx, Thank you for contacting me with your concerns. I appreciate hearing from you. Please know I have taken note of your specific comments and concerns, and I will keep them in mind as I continue to work across the aisle to find legislative solutions. One of the specific concerns you mentioned in your letter relates to the repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy currently in effect for U.S....

'Ralphies' gathering on Thanksgiving weekend If you identify with Ralphie Parker, the 9-year-old Midwestern boy who longed for a BB gun, you may wish to spend Thanksgiving weekend in Cleveland with fans of the movie "A Christmas Story." That's when your fellow "Ralphies" will meet actors who played in the 1983 cult classic, tour the restored Cleveland home used in the movie and enjoy a Christmas dinner, just like the Parker family, at the C & Y Chinese restaurant.

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - Coming off the worst two weeks of her campaign, presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton returns to the debate stage today with hopes of regaining her footing. But the topic that knocked her off stride in the last debate — driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants — is back in the news and likely to resurface when the Democratic candidates face off in Las Vegas. < snip > “This campaign is about issues, not on who we can bring down and destroy,” a senior Clinton aide told cyberjournalist Matt Drudge. “Blitzer should not go down to the levels...

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands — Got crabs? If so, please pass on to one desperate museum. A dutch museum said Friday it is having trouble getting its hands on a parasite that just about everybody else is anxious to avoid: crabs. The Rotterdam Natural History Museum has appealed for somebody — anybody — to give it a single crab louse for its collection, amid fears they may be dying out. The donor's anonymity, said curator Kees Moeliker, is guaranteed.

Editor's note: CNN agreed not to use the full name of family members in this report at their request, due to concerns for their own safety. BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Haythem could only recognize his oldest boy from his tall and slim physique as well as what was left of his shoes. His son's head had been blown away, his body charred beyond recognition. His wife of more than 20 years was torn apart.

HELP! I went into work for a short while this afternoon. When I came out of the office there was a parakeet hanging around the door. I caught it and got a cage and food on the way home. He dove into the food like a starving tiger and ate for 10 minutes before I got concerned that he would explode and get feathers all over the house so I took the food away from him. The band on the leg may help find the owner but until then I can use all the help I can get. Will these...
