Here is a solution to all the controversy over full body scanners at the airport. Have a booth that you can step into that instead of x-raying you will detonate any explosive device that is on your body. It would be a win-win solution for everyone. No profiling, no invasion of privacy, no long and expensive trials. The rest of the passengers would hear a muffled explosion followed shortly after by an announcement over the PA telling everyone that is flying stand by that there is now a seat available, and requesting maintenance to replace the current booth.

I am sure that Scott is feeling pretty confident after that historic win. He might even think that somehow he is different from other Republican Senators and will be able to work with Democrats. I think it is time to give Scott some advice from Conservatives.

Once a year I like to find out how fellow freepers came to become members of FreeRepublic.com. Because of the curtain situation with Rush's health I thought we could all ruminate on how he has affected our lives. I was always conservative, however I felt that I was in a tiny minority and kept my political views to myself. The main stream media had convinced me that I was in the minority. The day after Clinton was elected, I was in the car searching for news about the election and found Rush. I became hooked from that day forward. Rush...

Worst gift - One time when I was exiled in Wisconsin and so home sick for Colorado, a friend decided to visit for Christmas. She asked what I wanted from Colorado and I said anything, I would even welcome a Colorado Cow pie. Well - she took me at my word and spray painted a cow pie gold and put glitter on it. It was quite lovely actually, except it wasn't quite dry all the way through. After an evening of wondering what smelled under the tree she said, you might want to open my present. We did and had...

I voted against forming a Colorado State Employees union and of course did not join the union when it passed in 2007. All of a sudden I got a union membership card and all their pro obama literature in the mail from AFCME last week. I thought the state allowed the union to use our information but received an email from HR stating they don't share it with anyone. I then realized that the weazels at the Colorado Wins(the name of the union "Wins" for short) who have a partnership with AFCME probably shared or sold it. I was told...

Question 1: Is there a list of all Democrats regardless of whether they are liberal or "moderate" that would be vulnerable if they voted for the health care reform? There is a list of blue dog democrats but that list is by the representative's political ideology instead of the district's ideology. For instance Betsy Markey is a Freshman Democrat who ran as a blue dog Democrat in a mostly conservative district but has voted very far left liberal. She is not on the list of blue dog democrats but should be on the list of vulnerable Democrats based on the...

Why aren't the Republicans and anyone else the left accuses of racism bringing up Obama's race and past each time they talk about racism. 1. This President is mixed race, if you are a racist is it because he is half black or half white? 2. This President's relatives - Grandfather, Grandmother, Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother as well as his Mother and father never were victims of slavery. In fact this President's ancestors owned slaves. 3. This President's relatives on his father's side were never slaves, in fact they might have owned slaves back in Africa, they only visited...

I submitted a letter to the editor and was told it wasn't published because I found two or three, and at that point didn't go further. I have found www.politifact.com to be a reliable source for information on numerous topics, including the health care bill. You might check there. Ken Amundson Could you tell me what those errors of fact were? I am beyond confused and would certainly like the opportunity to educate myself in those "errors of facts."? I have always been a loyal reader and felt that the RH was basically unbiased and a good newspaper. It is...

Here is a copy of the Letter to the Editor I submitted. She is one of the 13 targeted freshman Representatives by the GOP. We will see if they print it. '======================================================= Rep. Markey has not only shown she is out of touch with Colorado voters but has come by her nickname, ‘Marxist Markey”, honestly. Her mentor, Nancy Pelosi’s primary purpose is to expand and centralize government and limit individual rights. Most Americans believe when they elect representatives and send them to Washington they will study the issues, read the bills, ensure that what is being voted on can be...

As I was on my hands and knees with my trusty tools that include a handheld pick to pry away the clay, a steak knife and my paint brush with bindweed killer to brush the top of the root with weed killer, I realized that there is no better metaphor for a liberal than bindweed, they have so much in common. Bind weed looks like a wild morning glory with pretty pink flowers, it is both a perennial and an annual. Once it becomes established, the roots can stay dormant for 25 years and go down as far as 75...

I wrote my Senator (if you can call a flaming radical left liberal Udall "my Senator") and challenged him to take the pledge. It is something they are using to force things through so they can say they are following their agenda. The light of day is the Democrats worst nightmare. 1. Any bill that would increase taxes, expand federal powers would have to be completely written, published and read by every elected official. Demand that a cost/benefit analysis and impact study would have to be done and published along with the bill. 2. The bill would have to be...

The Kings Among Us -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22 January 2007 ShareThisby Dr. Khalil Ahmad Once upon a time, there was a king. He was born in a city called Tikrit. He was brought up in a fatherless family with poor means of livelihood. He rose from being a street fighter to become a powerful king of Iraq. It may be objected that the story of Saddam Hussein cannot be narrated in such a manner. Because we are no longer living in medieval times. We are living in a modern or as is said in a post-modern age. But going through the details...

STUDY FOUND 90% OF ALL INDIVIDUALS IN ALL THREE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT ARE NOW SUFFERING FROM A RAPIDLY SPREADING VIRUS. According to the study this virus has been around for years, but is now at epidemic proportions with no cure and which fewer people seeming to have antibodies to fight it. Some experts believe that except for a few who have a natural resistance to the virus most of Congress have shown symptoms that last for years while others have become so infected that they may never recover. From every state in the Union, seemingly happy well adjusted people filled...

Once a year I make a post to get to know the Newbies and find out about the oldbie Freepers. This year with all the chaotic seriousness we are facing I thought to add one more question to my standard old ones. They are simple questions yet complex. 1. Where did you come from? 2. How long have you been here? 3. What is it that keeps you coming back. 4. What is your Pet Peeve?

One of the rules of radicals that has been successfully used against conservatives is: Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.” Seek Truth and Report It Journalists should be honest, fair and courageous in gathering, reporting and interpreting information. Journalists should: — Test the accuracy of information from all sources and exercise care to avoid inadvertent error. Deliberate distortion is never permissible. — Diligently seek out subjects of news stories to...

The United States of America is a constitutional republic that is fundamentally structured as a representative democracy. While there is some dispute as to who actually wrote the words to “Downfall of Democracy,” its message is clear and worth repeating. “A democracy is always temporary in nature: it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority will always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury,...

To the McCain staff and Republican Party leaders: My family has been Republicans since before the civil war. One of my ancestors lived in Arkansas and is described as a Moral Abolitionist. Originally from South Carolina he brought his Family to North West Arkansas and started a community named The Lord’s Vineyard. Here he taught both his children and the slaves he brought with him as well as the slaves he inherited or bought in South Carolina to read and write. Once they reached 21 and were able to read and write and had learned a skill, he gave them...
