I recall hearing somewhere about a group of guys who in 1776 got tired of having to ask permission of the British king in order to do things like settle beyond the Appalachians or trade with foreign nations.

I had one of those too, when I was a kid in the 70s.

The hot dogs never seemed to taste as good as when they were boiled the old-fashioned way. It was like I was eating mutant hot dogs, unnaturally cooked by electrocution.

My mother loves all those shows that dramatize real-life crimes. It was a mild annoyance to me to watch a fictionalized re-enactment of a real-life crime that in the real world involved non-white criminals, but in the TV version, had the criminals changed to white people.

I figured it was a PC thing to sanitize life as it actually is.

I was rather surprised to find out that the reason they did this was because the viewership for these shows increases when the race of the criminals in these shows is white, even tho in the real world the actual crimes were committed by non-whites.

It turns out that TV viewers "identify" more with the characters when they are of the same race as themselves, and, as the TV audience is largely white, these shows will gain higher ratings when more white criminals are shown.

I believe the article you are referring to appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald (NOT a conservative paper) in 1995 or 1996.

It was titled "America's Dirty War" and discussed the tens of millions of crimes committed by blacks against whites over the prior thirty years.

For those who are claiming that all races are liable to vicious criminal acts, they are right about that, no race or ethnic group is immune from evil, but when looking at the commission of crime, we must use the incidence of crime per capita, or per 100,000, or some other such method that allows us to control for the differences in the numbers of people of each race. This will give us an accurate picture of the levels of crime committed by each group.

When one analyzes the statistics of crimes committed, blacks are shown to be the perpetrators of crimes in vast disproportion to their percentage of the population. I don't remember the exact statistics, but blacks comprise approximately 13% of the US population, yet commit approximately 90% of the inter-racial crime. Young black males, about 5% of the population, commit about 50% of all murders.

For those who are statistically-inclined, and those who may disagree with what I write, the numbers of crimes committed, and the races of the perpetrators and the victims, can be found in the FBI's on-line reports, although, as you say, this info can be hard to find.

We can't begin to find solutions to our problems if we are unable to discuss the problems completely and honestly, or if we feel we must adopt politically-correct platitudes like "We are all alike!"

Amren.com still has a great deal of info on race, crime, and immigration, among other issues, and they publish a report called "The Color of Crime", which is what I think you may be referring to.

Fred Reed (fredoneverything.net) has on-line columns that I have found thought-provoking on these and other issues. He certainly is not politically-correct, though!

Vdare.com, especially Steve Sailer's columns, also provide much info on race, crime, immigration, politics, etc.

That reminds me of an event from a few years ago, where a newspaper issued an apology to its readers because its spell-checking program corrected a "mistake" in a headline, and it was sent to press without anyone noticing it.

The article was about a local budget, and the headline as printed stated

"The budget is in the African-American".

She also supports the banning of a traditionalist Christian political party in Belgium, simply because it is a traditionalist Christian religious party, and seeks to remove ALL religious influence, whether Christian or Muslim, from Europe.

Years ago, I read an article by a feminist (I think it was in the Village Voice of NYC) in which she claimed that when a man murders, its an act designed to perpetuate a system of patriarchal control over women and children, but when a woman (excuse me, womyn) murders, its a liberating act that strikes a blow at the repressive system of patriarchy.

Reading these comments by Freepers falling all over themselves trying to rationalize and justify this woman's criminal act, (not to mention thousands of similar comments on various threads thru the years) I realize all hope is lost and that the left has won the debate, and that there will be no escape from the statist/feminist/multicult glorious radiant future the left has in store for us.

Might I make a suggestion that you post that little bit of edgy feminist humor on DU or on some NOW forum, where that sort of thing is considered not only to be side-splitting funny, but also the last word in feminist social policy?

In 1970 or '71, LOOK Magazine published an article about up-and-coming young actresses and the difficulties they faced in finding suitable female roles in Hollywood.
