I am at my wits end. I am certainly capable of streaming many debates and town halls to my laptop. But, I want to display them on the TV. Both are smart TV's and have Tivo wired to my personal network. Any ideas how to accomplish this wirelessly?

DETROIT -- Japanese supplier Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd. will pay a $200 million fine, and three of its executives will appear before a federal judge in Detroit to plead guilty for their role in alleged global price-fixing among automotive wire-harness suppliers on three continents. The charges filed in Detroit today against Hirotsugu Nagata, Junichi Funo and Tetsuya Ukai are the first in what acting Assistant Attorney General Sharis Pozen called a larger ongoing investigation of alleged agreements to sell components to other companies “at a noncompetitive, rigged price” for years. “We have a broad investigation ongoing. We believe this was...

I am wondering if anyone has advice. I lost a very well paying job but thank God landed another one right away. The new one pays less (about 30%)but still pays well. Through my lawyer I petitioned for less alimony / support in August 2010. I have heard NOTHING from FOC. I continue to follow up with my lawyer who goes on to say; well they can take 6 months or so to revise the order. Meanwhile I cannot pay my property taxes as FOC sits on all my money. WTF. Any ideas?

Hello all, Friday I was "downsized" from my position in Sales for an automotive supplier. I have a few leads that I feel I am well qualified for. My concern is a ercent drinking and driving conviction. Was a first time offense but still an offense. It was pleaded down to a four point ticket. What is your opinion of having a drinking convicion on your record when applying for medium level Managment positions? Thanks

Hello fellow Conservative Freepers. I am writing asking for your input on my decision to potentially change companies that I work for. I am a Sales Account Manager (with Engineering degree and background) at a large Automotive supplier. I am content with my current position and like my boss and fellow co-workers. Recently a competitor (Japanese owned) has contacted me and offered a NA Sales Manager position with a first year salary increase of +30% and company provided car. This company also offers the opportunity of me being able to provide input into the strategic direction of the business. I...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush's national anti-drug strategy will for the first time target the use of pain relievers, sedatives and stimulants for nonmedical purposes, a problem that has exploded in the last decade.A key part of the strategy being released Monday involves government efforts to help states develop monitoring systems to track a patient's use of prescription medicine. The monitoring programs flag cases that indicate a pattern of abuse, such as "doctor shopping," where a patient gets prescriptions for drugs from multiple physicians.Prescription medicine now ranks second, behind marijuana, among drugs most abused by adults and young people, said...

DEARBORN — Already facing shrinking profit margins, some suppliers are questioning new contract language revisions that give the automaker sweeping new power over their relationship.

The new language enables Ford to effectively change the terms and conditions of supply agreements during the life of the accords, critics charge, and could damage already strained relations between the automaker and suppliers. “You make a deal, you live with the deal,” said Gerry Fedchun, president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association. Based in Toronto, its 400 member companies rank Ford, GM and ’s Chrysler group among its primary customers.

As a result, all Nashville schools have stopped posting honor rolls, and some are also considering a ban on hanging good work in the hallways — all at the advice of school lawyers.

The sun was beginning to set a week ago Sunday when Tom Miller heard his dog, Poochie, yelp from the woods behind his home on Heather Lane. The rambunctious 2-1/2-year-old German shorthaired pointer had been romping free in the woods, but ran back to Miller and remained at his side as they walked home. In the light of his house, Miller saw why Poochie had yelped: She had a cut about 5 inches long on her left hind leg. The cut was definitely a bite and most likely caused by a coyote, Miller said. He and his family have seen...

Educators call them teachable moments, opportunities beyond the textbooks and classrooms to convey a lesson using a real life experience.

Taught right, they can be the most valuable and lasting nuggets a child learns. But when it comes to civil liberties, America's schools are failing miserably to exploit these life lessons to instill in students an appreciation for their democratic heritage.
