I took my four year old, and he loved the film.
I, too, have had trouble with some of Disney's recent left-wing biases, but no less so than the extreme biases of other companies--i.e., Sony, AOLTimeWarner, Paramount, or Dreamworks. It's important for conservatives, however, to patronize films that fit our values (and avoid films that don't. We need to learn to be as good at saving babies as we are throwing out bathwater. This is the only language the industry understands. No doubt, the fact that this film flopped financially sends the message that family fare is dying, and we will pay for that.
This film was a delight--I imagine one day we'll laugh at how it flopped and later gained a cult following.
