The fact remains our enemies have been dealt one strategic defeat after another for the past 3 1/2 years...we have not suffered one!

You honestly believe this! 16,000 casualties in Iraq alone not to mention the war on terror. The Only reason the Iraq war was so easy is because there were zero, none, nil, opposition when it came to the air, plus the Iraqi military was under equipped to fight anyways(12 years of sanctions remember).Because Iraqi air force sent planes abroad during the first gulf war there was no chance of of retaliation so it does appear The U.S.A. is unstoppable but please don't be so naive.America is making enemies faster then friends. Since 1999 Iran has bought military equipment from Russia, China, France and others.Iran is not Iraq!Bush wont attack yet because that would further fuel the rising cost of oil prices. So then you would be surrounded by enemies. 1. Afghanistan which still major regions are controlled by the Tali-ban.
2.Iraq where Americans fear leaving the base because of constant attacks by rebels.
3.Syria where it would then publicly declare that invading Iran as a act of war towards them as well.
4.Iran a country with a bigger population greater then any country America ever attacked before.
5.Pakistan i will include them because of the serious opposition against Musaraf and the anti-american sentiment.

    "So much for "Whupass" talk."

We have killed thousands of terrorists and captured thousands more. That seems like "whupass" to me.

Yes and they have caused more then 15,000 American casualties. sounds like "Whupass" to me.I can't believe the American people are so ignorant to this Fact. The government still claims that it is small 5,000-20,000 insurgents.Come on wake up it's 10 times that and getting bigger, with the support of over a million. They have insiders in the army, police and even American military bases.Put the Iraqi people to work if you want your Americans home and a democratic government in place. That is the only viable solution! Many will say drop more bombs which will only fuel their(insurgents) propaganda to get new recruits.Yes secure the border get out of the Iraqi cities that should be the Iraqi's police and military job.Get them home!

American Government/military have done little thus far to defeat the insurgents. If they want to defeat the insurgents and save money and time in Iraq its simple.Employ the people of Iraq. One cruise missile=one million dollars that could put 5000 Iraqi's to work for one month instead of killing one desperate Iraqi trying to kill Americans for money. How many cruise missiles were used so far?It would cost 200 million dollars a month to employ one million people and that would fuel the economy to lower employment rate similar to the U.S.A.Instead of the rate today of 30-70% depending on the region. It cost the American taxpayer six billion a month for this occupation it would cost that a year to end the insurgency and occupation.

This is exactly what is wrong with American government today.Your foreign policies are designed not for humanity but rather strategic needs. This is why Americans even after September 11, still are not hostile to the Saudi government even though it was proven they did have a finacial hand in helping at least a few of the hijackers. Thus these policies are what is fueling American hatred around the world. Its time The American foreign policies were reviewed in the name of humanity. China is no threat now and weather they buy American company's should have no impact on government(unless it were military type bossiness's)China allows American company's to buy Chinese firms.Lets get rid of the double standards.

Not really the American government lost one actually in the Pakistani mountains in the 80's while doing re con work. They were trying to spy on the Chinese when there was a avalanche and though they did search it was never found.Iread this in a book about nuclear mishaps unfortunately i cant remember the name.I am sure you could find it on the net though!

Well some who understands that there is more to one side of every story and that there can be more then one truth.Eight Canadians died as a result of friendly fire in Afghanistan after a American pilot ignore information telling him not to fire.Yet at the trial nothing happened did Canada withdraw its troops no in fact since that time we have increased our troop level on the ground in Afganistan to 2000 from 900 we have also been in command for a period of six months. In Iraq although we did not send troops we have agreed recently to sent a squad to train police.Someone also wrote on here that selling our oil to China was a threat to the U.S.A. We sell our oil and lumber to many countries.Yes you are our biggest trading partner but we are also yours and we have alot of oil second largest proven oil reserve in the world 178.9 billion barrels.Only Saudi Arabia has more.So when there wells dry up because of over drilling you will come to us.And just think we wont attack you for buying our oil!lol

I have lived in Canada all my life,on both sides of the country east and west.Canada is not anti-american.However the article is right we do have a identity issue.I would say that Canadians do like the roll of peace keepers. This is why we did not send troops to Iraq.(correction 26 soldiers embedded with units sent to Iraq)We did not see the connection and still don't to September 11 attacks. When the U.S.A government said it was al-queda and they were in Afghanistan we sent thousand of our troops to help.During the Gulf war we also helped your cause but only because it was to liberate Kuwait. If it were extended to ousting Saddam at that time i am sure we would not have gone at all.We do have our problems Canada-U.S.A.Our option not to participate in your missile defense program has little impact on you.You Can launch From Alaska in the north.I travel to the U.S frequently and love to visit. Americans are very frequent visitors in Edmonton Alberta as well as in London Ontario both places i lived for extended periods of time.I never heard of any problems before. This writer watched the movie Canadian bacon one too many times.when our minority government collapses next session and a new one is formed this time conservative, our relations will improve but we still are a sovereign nation and are entitled to our policies and treaties. One last thought, there was something about 36,000 illegals in Canada. In the U.S.A that number is about 5,000,000+.

Do you not know propaganda when you see it.I mean come on this is a no brainer it's fabricated. They recruit from the same area they are both anti-isreal as well as anti-american.how can any of you believe this farce.AQ is made up of many different types of Muslim's.Oh and by your own news agencies are not both being funded by the same counties ie. Iran, Syria.P.S your good buddy GWB the Saudis as well. This is what your government calls disinformation. And it works well as i can see!!

it's amazing that a country so strong and advanced as the US feels a need to stir up conflicts with third world country's.First attack a country based on false information. You said you knew they had it and where it was.Even though the weapons inspectors said there was no proof of any such weapons.I know and then turn around and say that they were harbouring terrorist.Yet Iraq was never ever listed on the list of nation who sponsered terrorists.then tell everyone that you are really there to liberate the people of Iraq. But when the military of Iraq comes to work the next day tell them to go home we dont need you anymore. Finally Americans notice a steady increase in violence in Iraq agaist the occupying force after a few months and I know its an insugents and Saddam loyalists.Ok then Saddam is captured and know its the AQ and Syria. Not the million strong unemployed former army.America then desides to rebuild the iraqi army they will pay them a whooping $200 per month for such duties. However Outsiders can come to there country and be paid $500 per day driving a truck,$350 a day for a cook.Lets face it the American economy is based on war look at history. What is defence budget $500,000,000,000+ a year more then every other country on earth combined.Look i am not anti american i just disagree with the foriegn policies and believe you should use this great might for good and not for economic gains. There are at least 4 other counties around the world that would love to see some type of intervension.

Wow someone who now's a little history. You seem very intelegent and informed.I say to you-you must not be american lol.Ok AQ in Afganistan was not only a guest you are right but as far as governing this state it had little to do with it.After the russians withdrew its troops the country went into civil war and the taliban came out on top controling nearly eighty percent of the country when the americans began there attack. At that time Bin ladens group were securing areas already controled by the taliban in exchange for setting up base to train and organize.People believe that things are so simple as good vs evil.Millions of muslims believe and support AQ because what it stands for.Americans believe its stands for terrorism, but it much much more then that the western countries and a few others have exploited theese people for far to long.We have seen a empire of proud knowledgable people being surpressed by kings and dictators and puppet regimes witch declare they are democratic ever since world war One.the olny true democratic country in the region in the past twenty years has been Libiya.Funny enough the Americans considered it a rouge nation sponsering terrorist.Yes Libiya did fund other movements ie. the IRA and some other groups in latin america that they believed were also revolutions not terrorists.Lets face facts when governments are sponsered and supported by the industrialized nations movements have no other choice then to target soft targets and gurrila type war fare. The key to any peace anywhere in the world is not through force but rather fair foriegn policies and sometimes remaining neatral.P.s one question for you are you in Syria?Or is this name just a clever tool to stir up conversations with others on this site?

hey AQ didn't rule Afganistan. They were the Talibans Guests in return for AQ's help in expelling the Russians.AQ used afganistan as a staging point for training and cordinating attacks abroad.Media tend to have us believe that there goal has always been to attack the U.S.A.However America did not become a target until the first gulf war when they armed the Saudis government and set up base there. It was at that point Saudis royalty became target two and the U.S.A moved to number.Till then Bin Laden was being armed and funded by the CIA to fight the russians.Look it up if you dont believe me.The funding continued untill 1990.AQ is not small either it is estimated that 150,000-200,000 were trained by the AQ from 1995-the present.Still today there are training camps in Afganistan and abroad.

I think there are serious errors in your statements.
1.Sadam and AQ never were on the same page.
2.alzari actualy came to iraq after leaving Afganistan because his division was over run.More ironic is the fact when he came to Iraq he hooked up with the Kurdish group in the north(remember they are the allies the americans forgot about after Desert storm)
3.AQ and the other groups whom america calls terrorists only work together to elimanate the foriegn precence. After that there objectives are very different.
4.Would it not be easier to elimanate these so called terrorist if the U.S.A would re-examine there foriegn policies.I would bet if the american goverment would elimanate there support in Saudi Arabia and Eliminate there sponsership of a government that has violated the UN mandate for 38 years. You would see governments change yes, but not attacks on america.I hope people soon learn the problems are not as simple as what Mr. Bush would have you believe.Aq is not a terrorist organization to alot of muslims but a revolution to the masses.when you can change that belief you will win this so called WOT.I leave you with this"liberation comes from with-in if not then it is and always will be a occupation"Mike
