My grandfather rented out a house in Cleveland in the 70s. After he died, it fell into disrepair. My grandmother allowed the renters to stay if they did basic maintenance. When they moved, the house was sold for under 20K. It was resold with no visible improvement for over 85K. All it is is money laundering…

My grandmother survived “holodomor”. “Ukrainians” that starved were mostly Russian farmers. There were some Ukrainians for sure, but according to her, mostly Russian. She was born in Kiev and always considered herself only Russian nothing else. That’s how communism works, the state gets everything, the people get nothing, no matter what nationality.

My son was born in my 25th week . The hospital wanted to put him on permanent disability, told me that he was a prime candidate for cerebral palsy as he was born with a level 2 brain hemorrhage. I gave that poor little so much love and an understanding that things weren’t gonna happen for him the way they did for other kids. He had to repeat kindergarten because he lacked fine motor skills. Fast forward 20 years….he graduated Xavier University with honors (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laud) he is currently in his third year of med school. Medicine never factors in a parents love….
