  • Biden Considering Revoking Trump’s Right to Access Classified Briefings

    To Clay, To Jim Robinson,

The rule/law about classified information going to a just departed former president is this: It is the present president who determines if the recent past president gets this classified information. It was Biden’s decision to make and he did - no classified info. to Trump.

    Hello, Jim Robinson.

    Thanks, MomwithHope.

I think of people not here now whom we enjoyed their company and their prepper and gardening information. Laz was one of the people with whom I had so much joy. One would never know what Laz was going to post next. Kartographer and I have kept up with each other.

Greeneyes and you and others I could mention but that would make a long list.

And thanks for Jim R being here.

Below, I said I would send the Table of Contents to anyone interested. I need their email address as The Table of Contents is 9 pages long; I think too many pages for a message here and I think it would mess up the format. It is so detailed I think one could decide quickly if he/she wanted the information.

Dear Laz, love of my life,

A coincidence? I came here today to see if you were still here. Have done some posts on the Gardening Thread for several days which made me think of you. And, here you are.

Have talked with Mom With Hope; I have missed her, others on old Prepper threads, and YOU on all the threads when you and I talked together. I hope you are well.

I recall he waited outside until more law enforcement came. I also recall he was going to retire soon.

Until recent years, a job as a security officer at a school was a cushy job. He was waiting there to retire - nothing bad could happen to him, he was at a school, not on the streets where he might get killed. That has changed.

I am in the kitchen having some ice cream and a bit of Bailey’s Irish Creme, then I am sending your book. It is 9:03 pm here, central time. You will have the book shortly.

Make yourself some coffee and read, but try to get some sleep. I am so glad you have it. My heart is in this book.

    I am selling my book.
    “EMERGENCIES HAPPEN! BE PREPARED NOW!”
If you would like this book, write me at mards.derrick@aol.com and I will respond.

Everyone, I am selling my book because book agents and publishers only buy recipe books and those who tell their story of having an affair with a famous person. :o)
Send me an email if you are interested in this book.

So much of the book came from this gardening thread and our angel Johnny.

As for me, I am now 85. Had some trouble this past year starting in May, 2018. A few vertebra in my neck collapsed and pressed a nerve going through both shoulders and both wrists. That was major pain and I could not use my arms without pain. I now have a new orthopedic doc pain specialist of three weeks ago who knew where to place the Cortisone shots and stop the pain.

I am lucky to be as good as I am.
I have started a new book:
“The New Testament - For Thinkers”
I have been teaching a Bible class made up of Seniors.
I am starting back on this board. I know I missed a number of names and some listed were not on this board but on other FR threads, but I have never forgotten the learning and fun we had here. Never go away.

“as well as the nifty coffee maker that you bought for Johnny”

He used that coffee maker every day - it was the only one he used after he got it. I have several, so simple for a cup of coffee. Since I have power, I use an electric one cup Hamilton Beach, cost $20+.

This coming Monday, orthopedic pain doctor will put me to sleep and put shots of steroids in my neck and shoulders. The cartilage between my neck bones has collapsed and narrowed the space for nerves to go through so there is pressure on the nerves that go through my shoulders down to my wrists. There is also some arthritic crap in my shoulders but the main pain is from the pressure on the nerves.

The pain is severe when I wake up and I can’t put on clothes or comb my hair or brush my teeth. I take a significant pain pill as soon as I get something in my stomach and about an hour later I can use arms a little bit. Doc said it may take three times for shots in neck to open up that space so nerves are not pressed. This has been getting worse for two months so it has to be fixed.

I have been wearing my pajamas all day because it hurts to move arms out of clothes and into other clothes. So that is the good part, wearing comfortable PJs all day. :o)

“Good 4th of July to you Milady!”

I was at a casino yesterday, took a break, read some on here and saw you on this thread. I bookmarked it so I could get back to you.

    To others:
You can’t rule the world, you can’t rule the country, you can’t rule your state, you can’t rule your county, but you can be KING/QUEEN FOR LIFE OF YOUR COUNTRY, WHICH IS YOUR HOUSE AND YOUR BACKYARD (and your front yard if it is fenced/protected.

Don’t depend on someone else for your existence. I can lock my front door and live for years without the grocery store, the electric company, the water company, the gas company. I will have power for years, pure water forever, 8 ways to cook, one way lasts forever, food for 25 years plus fresh food from the container garden, working TV/radio/shortwave radio, phone, be cool, be warm, have medical supplies (I was an EMT).

Also have security, be notified if anyone comes near the house due to security notification equipment already installed, have defensive weapons.

Anyone can do this. Listen to Kartographer - he is a super “King of his Country”, can live well in any circumstance.

    “sterno stove”

I have several Sterno stoves, can use these in the house or outside. I used them every time a hurricane took out power. I bought “Daily Chef Safe Heat” cans at Sams instead of Sterno canned heat as it is cheaper.

I calculated how long a “Daily Chef Safe Heat” can would burn, and how long I would need it to burn for a meal. Then I bought enough cans to last - a year.

“I bet a rocket stove would do it, but you would need to protect the base of the canner from smoky build up, you’d also have to feed the fire.”

A rocket stove is the best emergency stove as it will burn hot using just twigs and it burns so hot there is little residue left.

However, if not talking emergency situation, being able to replace propane bottles, for cooking and canning outside, a gas grill with large propane bottles will work just fine.

I also have an outdoor oven that works just like your inside oven and it can use large propane bottles, too.

I also have an outdoor fireplace which takes wood, charcoal.

“Were you and your husband the ones who visited Johnny (JRF) before he passed away?”

Yes, we were there every week and more often if he needed something. We prayed with him a day before he died.
