Back in 2014 the German army was caught using painted broomsticks on some of their tanks due to a shortage of machine guns. If the EU decides to move against Russia I hope they upgrade those broomsticks to at least shovel handles.

Packing the US Supreme Court is unethical. As the article noted, Justices Ginsberg and Breyer both understood that. But court packing is also perfectly legal, and constitutional.

So our best chance is the filibuster. Let’s hope that Senate “moderates” like West Virginia’s Manchin do the right thing when push comes to shove.

That would be a very wise move for them strategically. And it would be an information overload for the Biden administration. They would either do nothing or wildly overreact.

It’s that second possibility that should worry everyone.

Bill Maher is rarely right. But when he’s right, he’s very right. His comments on Islamic extremism and on our current “cancel culture” are particularly good.

That’s pretty much true. The PC police circle society much like a hawk circles a field. Make even the smallest “mistake”, and you’ll be pounced on and torn to shreds.

I pursued a patent a number of years ago. And an attorney friend told me that I had to demonstrate that my invention worked (either by diagrams or by a model).

Not really. But by golly, I’m thinking Trump would have done a little research before subjecting his daughter to the shot. I know I would have done that, were it my daughter. And Trump is a smarter guy than I would ever be.

I am confused by the ‘get vaccinated’ / ‘don’t get vaccinated’ arguments. But I can’t believe Donald Trump would let his daughter get vaccinated if it was such a bad thing.

So the confusion continues, for me at least.
