NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Nashville police say Bob Welch, a former member of Fleetwood Mac who also had a solo career, has died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 65. Police spokesman Don Aaron said Welch was found dead by his wife with a chest wound at their Nashville home around 12:15 p.m. Thursday.

The Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday moved forward with legislation to increase airline passenger security fees, beating back a GOP attempt to keep them at current levels. The 2013 Homeland Security appropriations bill would increase one-way fees for passengers from $2.50 to $5 in order to close a budget shortfall at the Transportation Security Administration.

SANFORD, Fla. — The police chief at the center of a fatal neighborhood watch shooting says he is stepping down temporarily because he has become a distraction. Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee made the announcement at a news conference Thursday. Lee has been criticized after police did not arrest George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who shot an unarmed black teen to death on Feb. 26.

WASHINGTON, March 20 (Reuters) - The U.S. Internal Revenue Service is staffing up with high-powered talent to crack down on companies shifting profits from country to country to lower their tax bills, a strategy the agency has targeted before with only limited success. The IRS showed its elevated concern on the issue, known as "transfer pricing," last May by hiring Samuel Maruca to fill the newly created post of transfer pricing director.

Thousands of anti-Wall Street protesters clashed with cops today across lower Manhattan, starting with a march on the New York Stock Exchange this morning and ending with a crossing of the Brooklyn Bridge that snarled traffic. Cops responded in force, at one point this afternoon sweeping into Zuccotti Park and arresting anyone inside. In total, more than 200 people were busted by cops; five of whom were charged with assault. The culmination of the day of protests to mark the movement's two-month anniversary began with hundreds of protesters massing on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge.

On Wednesday morning, a 40-something man stumbled toward the medical tent at Occupy L.A. in downtown. Dressed in khaki shorts and a windbreaker, the man rambled on, explaining he'd come from Santa Monica and hurt his knee. But medical examiners were more worried about the man's state of mind and the ring of white froth around his mouth, a possible sign of dehydration. "Your speech is slurred," said Rudy Rodriguez, 40, a medical volunteer. "Is that your natural speech? Or have you been drinking?"

A man is arrested at Occupy Toronto after allegedly smelling a woman's feet and trying to get other protesters to drink urine. The Protester who uploaded this video also left this comment on it claiming his girlfriend was groped by this man as well: "He was also groping her but I failed to mention due to being a bit emotionally tied up.
