I've just been scanning around again re-reading the court case of Jim Hill v. Katherine Harris, and noted the new addition as of 9-11-02 "Final Judgment Summary". Here is what the judge stated: "Based upon the disputed facts and applying well established legal precedent, this Court finds that Harris did not comply with the mandatory, resignation requirement of F.S. 99.012. However, her non-compliance was statutorily forgiven by operation of F.S. 99.012 (4)(f).
