  • Conservatism = Victory: MAKnight's Campaign Plan Works!!

In case anyone is doubting the efficacy of MAKnight's campaign plan, witness the election of Scott Walker (an outspoken and self-identified Conservative Republican) over Jim Ryan (a Leftist Democrat), 55%-45% in the Milwaukee County Executive's race yesterday. It's almost as if Walker followed MAKnight's campaign plan to the letter (except for the media part). Walker never once hid his conservatism and he won a high-turnout election in a county that went 61% for Al Gore in 2000. He even managed to eat significantly into the Democrat's share of the black and Hispanic vote. The following is from the Milwaukee Sentinel...

Can a true-blue all-round Conservative win in a Left-leaning state like Maryland? Judging from what happened to Bret Schundler last year in New Jersey, the conventional wisdom would suggest a strong "No". But ... I believe that Bret Schundler could have won that race in November. "How?" is the $1,000,000 question a friend considering a run asked me. With the added benefit of hindsight from 2000 & 2001 observing the Bush, Santorum and Schundler campaigns I gave him the following suggestions. Criticisms, contributions and all other forms of opinion welcome ...       Go the whole nine yards on...

Has anyone here ever considered running for office? I mean, we're probably the most well-informed politics junkies on the Right - and the 'net - and I just got to thinking that it would be a shame if, after all we have seen of the Left's agenda, none of us Freepers are willing to go fight them where it matters - on election day with our names on the ballot. After all while they are still winning elections they would continue to break this nation apart. Anyway, please chime in if you're interested in running for any office anywhere. Where...

This is any of y'all in New Jersey and Virginia. After being here for so long I know y'all (except for a merciful few) are intelligent people ... which is probably why y'all are Freepers. Now I'll stop kissing ass and get to the point. Victories for the Democrats in these two races would be seriously damaging to our President. So this is the absolute wrong time for complacency or defeatism. So I'm asking y'all to use your intelligence and creativity and come up with a Top X List To Vote For Bret Schundler / Top X List To Vote ...

This post is to urge every single Freeper and Conservative to e-mail the President, and call the White House to get Bush over to stump in Virginia and New Jersey before election day. If enough of us send the message, we could create a critical mass that cannot be ignored by the screeners. Remember to use the words, "Election", "Viginia" and "New Jersey" in your e-email titles. • McGreevey Blinks ... Schundler Misses An Opportunity

Is the tax issue working for Bret Schundler? He's still behind in the polls in the New Jersey governor's race. But last night's debate — the last of the campaign — suggests that Democrat Jim McGreevey is worried that Schundler is making progress. In the past, McGreevey has said that it would be irresponsible to pledge not to raise taxes, as Schundler has done. His first words in the debate: "Marc, we're not going to raise taxes." (Marc Howard of WPVI was one of the moderators.) Later, McGreevey said that former governor Jim Florio had raised taxes too much — ...

The 9/11 attacks, contrary to the cliché, did not "change everything" — not even everything in American politics. On September 10, the conventional wisdom was that Democrats were going to win both of this year's gubernatorial races and its two biggest mayoral races. That's still the conventional wisdom today. Republicans in Washington privately expect to lose the governor's mansion in both Virginia and New Jersey. They're giving up too easily. It's true that the Republican candidate in Virginia, Mark Earley, ran a lousy campaign for most of the summer, and true also that Democrat Mark Warner has slickly repackaged himself ...

Can Schundler still pull this off? What do y'all think he should/could do to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat so close to election day? As it is right now, he is going to be facing an incredibly hostile liberal audience today at the debate: The one-hour debate between Democrat James E. McGreevey and Republican Bret Schundler will be moderated by Action News anchor Marc Howard and New York WABC anchor Roz Abrams and will take place at the Concert Hall of The College of New Jersey in Ewing. The interactive format will include questions to the candidates ...

Good day, First of all, congratulations on an excellent performance at Rowan University on Thursday and furthermore, on cutting the gap even closer in the polls. I am in no doubt that the gap would be cut even further in the days to come. However, I would like to offer a proposal in utilizing the e-army during the last ten or so days to the election that, I believe, could be very useful. It would cost the campaign virtually no money and it would be very simple to implement (if you decide to do so). Before I go on, to ...

... if and only if Conservatives in New Jersey and Virginia (and in all 50 states) fight ... and fight hard. I'm in PA and I'm going up to New Jersey from the 4th/5th to the 8th to help out in getting out the vote and taking part in the rallies. I understand that we Conservatives have serious jobs and therefore we don't have as much time for activism and protests as Libs do. Liberals mostly have "jobs" that give them all the time they need to spread their drivel, i.e. pretending to be serious people (Barbra Streisand & Martin ...

If y'all get a MSWord/ Acrobat Reader file from the Schundler campaign to print copies of and hand out to people, i.e. your neighbors and workmates, and to put in mail boxes, how many of y'all would do it? How many copies would you print and how many people and mailboxes would you aim for? PS: I know that we Conservatives have serious jobs, which is why we don't really have the time for activism and protests, but this is important ... let's sieze the opportunity. We have a chance to get a real Conservative elected in a liberal state ...

What do y'all think of my ad? By the way, how many NJ Freepers here think Bret can pull this off? I just sent this in an e-mail to Bret Schundler's Constituent Relations Director. What do y'all think? Dear Mr. Giustino I realize that you are busy man and it's crunch time so I'll endeavor to keep this as short and as to the point as possible, and would appreciate it if you would consider passing this on Mr. Schundler. I found Mr. McGreevey's "wrong values" statement during the debate on Wednesday offensive and disturbing. I believe Mr. Schundler may have been a bit negligent to have let him get away with it. It is my humble personal opinion that Mr. ...

What do y'all think about it (below)? The media will squeal loudly about it but I think Schundler should go for the hard-hitting ad and paint McGreevey into a corner. The media would play defense for McGreevey by bringing in their supposedly "impartial political analysts" who would scream that the ad would backfire and strongly suggest that Bret Schundler should withdraw it ... but if he should stick to his guns, McGreevey would not say another word about abortion if he knows what's good for him. DISCLAIMER: I am writing here strictly on my own behalf. My fellow Freepers, Our nation suffered a major and unprecedented blow two weeks ago tomorrow and it is only right and natural that we take the time to grieve for those, our fellow Americans and those citizens of other countries, precious people all, who lost their lives. But, as our flags rising proudly to full mast say to the world, as our President so eloquently stated to the nation; the Union remains, and will always remain, God willing, strong. Our lives go on. God bless us all. However, unfortunately, as ...
