Where in the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is there mention of a permit? I maintain that any requirement for permit or registration is a direct infringement on the right to keep and bear arms.

I was excused from a jury because I was truthful. One of the charges was possession of an unlicensed firearm. Since I consider any licensing or registration to violate the spirit and letter of the second amendment, I could not find the perpetrator guilty on that charge. There were four or five other charges on which I could’ve easily found him guilty.
