Gutters weren't getting cleaned before there were illegal aliens? Oranges only started being picked by Mexican nationals when the U.S. Entered WWII and there was nobody to pick the citrus. Let's be real, gutters were cleaned and out houses were purged as well as a thousand other dirty jobs before we had illegal aliens here to do them. I don't cut my own meat either, but if I buy from Swift meats I now pay 5% more because there are Americans butchering rather than illegal aliens, and I am content to pay it.

It is not enough to have a bingo game for AIDS(a worthy cause). It is not enough to say we are gays playing Bingo for AIDS. Nope you have to insult your host, and be perpetually in someone's face. You can't show up as people (not gay, strait, Catholic, Muslim, Shinto, White, Black or Purple with pink poke-a-dots) that want to do some good, it always has to be an in your face political statement. What can I say besides God Bless the Pope.

The rise in tuition is exactly what she is trying to accomplish. Colleges have hit the wall in the prices they can charge and so the only way to keep people that are making depressed wages (depressed by the influx of an estimated 30 million illegal aliens)going to college with increasing tuition is to lower the price of the tuition to them.

There are alternatives, dirty little secrets nobody wants you to know about. I could not afford to stop working to go to a traditional 4 year institution. I went to three years of community college and then did a year at Charter Oak State College in Connecticut (which will grant a 4 year degree with only one year work from a more expensive 4 year college). This lowered my college bill from $17,000 for each of the last two years ($34,000 total) to about $2,000 at a community college for year three plus about $12,000 at Charter Oak (for a total bill of $14,000 not $34,000). I did it all online so I could work the entire time which allowed me to pay cash for all of my college, save the last class where a small economic disaster forced me to take out a student loan.

The problem I see is this: there are too many people that want a Ivy league name on their diploma and are willing to pay any amount to get it. This is because they realize that a degree like that will open doors, but the problem is it won't keep an incompetent in a safe chair earning a large income.A college degree will open your first door, it will not keep you there or promote you if you are not able to do the job.

I agree with you but the sad part is this: we are at war, spending billions of dollars and losing a lot of people and the funding for this is in the hands of someone that doesn't know who we are fighting.
