Thank you for this. I teach at a Christian homeschool ministry and two of our children are JW. We had an Easter Celebration - not a party, but truly a celebration of Christ and these children had to sit by themselves and not participate. This helped explain to me where they are coming from and why they look like deer caught in headlights when we have devotion time.

We must be doing/saying something right because we have not scared them away yet and they keep coming back week after week. I hope Jesus has captured their hearts. Thanks again - I now know where to focus my prayer!

  • Fla. to stop giving diplomas for GED graduates ( Punishing the smart, hard working kids )

A lot of colleges are “punishing” homeschoolers by not accepting them because they do not have “accredited” diplomas. An option what many homeschoolers do is, although they homeschool their kids they go for the GED to have the stupid piece of paper to show colleges, etc that yes, they are indeed educated. The GED makes it easier to get college acceptance, scholarships, grants, etc. In our state, you can get the HOPE grant/scholarship if you have a diploma, and don’t have to jump through as many hoops.

Truthfully, I feel this is an attempt to take an option away from homeschooling parents.

Could it just be me ... but does anyone else see a PHYSICAL resemblance between the two older kids and Macaulay?

That's what I was trying to say. M.C. is the godfather of ALL three - and man, look at that photo above. Wow, it looks like a little Macaulay! Wasn't trying to create controversy but the resemblance....

I don’t think we “know” that Jackson isn’t the biological father.

Apparently Debbie Rowe admitted it was not his sperm - Excerpt from interview -

Debbie (who lives on a farm surrounded by animals) said, ""I was just the vessel. It wasn't Michael's sperm. Just like I stick the sperm up my horse, this is what they did to me. I was his thoroughbred."....

Is it just me, or do Michael’s kids bear an uncanny resemblence to Macaulay Culkin? And he is Godfather to all 3? (I didn’t know Muslims had godparents.) And we KNOW Michael is not the biological father. Just thinking.....

You’ve got to love the Dads. It’s memories like that (fishing for fishing poles, going fishing, etc) that mean more than buying kids expensive presents. I remember the things my dad did with me, or the things my dad MADE for me (dollhouse) but don’t remember the gifts my dad bought me.

I think every dad needs to take their kid fishing this weekend, or for a round of mini golf, or bowling. Even though its “Father’s Day” do something your KID wants to do. Let them make the rules. Dad, you will be the HERO! I can assure you it will be the best Father’s Day ever, and one your kids will never forget.

Nice work Dad! Frame that pic and put it on your desk!
    That picture is PRICELESS!

I still remember fishing with my dad, and the fish pulling my cane-pole in the pond and daddy borrowing a row boat to go rescue my $3 fishing pole. Y’know it wasn’t the pole - it was my daddy being the “hero”!

Anyone who can go, please do! Several years ago, good friends of mine from here in GA lost their son, PFC Joshua Dingler. The line up of flag wavers and people in uniform saluting went for miles - from the church to the grave site. It was an inspiring sight I will never forget!!!! EVERY hero deserve that!

Bombs in Yonkers, shooting of military recruiter, today’s museum shooting, the murder of Tiller the baby killer - (that’s some 100 days). How did Rahm Emanuel put it... “Never let a good crisis go to waste”? I’m just wating for the Zero admin to find the right crisis to take even more control. The financial crisis has already allowed him to take over two auto makers and over 300 banks. I don’t know if it will be martial law, banning guns, or what it will be - but he’s relying on some crisis for more power. Whats next???

This is the type of garbage they are posting on that link... quote “It’s just safer to assume that a republican is a terrorist these days. if they can prove they’re not, fine, but until they do prove it, assume they are armed and dangerous.”

I am afraid this is how the Zero admin wants people to look at us and Rahm Emanuel and Obama aren’t going to “waste this crisis” either!!!!!

Then again maybe that’s WHY they want to take away our guns. Maybe they NEED to assume we are armed and dangerous. The second amendment was not written for hunting purposes. I think the admin might be getting scared!

GOOD ARTICLE - Writer did his homework! Found the following on this website -

    http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2009/05/red-alert-did-campaign-contributions.html

“A tipster alerted me to an interesting assertion. A cursory review by that person showed that many of the Chrysler dealers on the closing list were heavy Republican donors.

To quickly review the situation, I took all dealer owners whose names appeared more than once in the list. And, of those who contributed to political campaigns, every single one had donated almost exclusively to GOP candidates. While this isn’t an exhaustive review, it does have some ominous implications if it can be verified.

Consider the partial list of Chrysler dealership owners, listed below. You’ll notice that all were opponents of Barack Obama, most through sponsorship of GOP candidates and organizations, but a handful through Barack’s Democrat rivals (Hillary Clinton and John Edwards in 2008, for example).”

    • Vernon G. Buchanan: $147,450 to GOP candidates and organizations
    • Wallace D. Alley and Family: $4,500 to GOP.
    • Robert Archer: $4,600 to GOP and conservative causes.
    • Homer S. Higginbotham and Family: $2950 to GOP.
    • James Auffenberg and Family: $28,000 to GOP; $6,000 to one Democrat candidate.
    • Michael Maroone and Family: $60,000 to GOP; $8,500 to two Democrat candidates.
    • Jerome Fader: $6,500 to Democrats; $2,500 to Independent Joe Lieberman.
    • Stephen Fay and Family: $13,500 to GOP.
    • William Numrich: $20,000 to GOP.
    • Robert Carver: $10,000 to Democrats including $1,950 to Hillary Clinton, nothing to Barack Obama.

    • Robert and Linda Rohrman: $24,000 to GOP.
    • Frank Boucher, Jr. and Family: $18,000 to GOP, $1,000 to one Democrat candidate.
    • Scott Bossier: $4,300 to GOP.
    • Todd Reardon: $17,000 to GOP; $2,000 to one Democrat candidate.

    • Don Hill: $11,000 to GOP; $12,800 to conservative incumbent Rep. Heath Shuler.

    • Don Miller: $2,000 to GOP; $1,000 to Feingold.
    • Eddie Cordes: $2,150 to GOP.
    • Robert Edwards: $1,100 to GOP.
    • James Crowley: $19,100 to GOP.
    • Stanley Graff: $2,200 to John Edwards (2008 Presidential Run); $500 to GOP.
    • John Stewart: $10,500 to GOP.

I can’t explain it but there s a difference. They are just more substantial tasting somehow.

Usually if the eggs are "cage free" the people that run the farm often also run an "organic" farm. The taste of the eggs depends on the feed of the chicken. Kind of a garbage in - garbage out thing. Better feed results in better eggs. That's probably why the eggs taste better and also why you pay more.
