SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Bank of America, Verizon, Chipotle and other companies have pulled advertising from a Sacramento radio station after talk show hosts referred to transgender people as "freaks" with mental disorders.

During a May 28 show, one of the three hosts on KRXQ's "Rob, Arnie & Dawn" show said he would hit his son with his shoe if he put on high heels. Another said he would tell a boy he was "a little idiot" if he asked to wear a dress.

Officials with Bank of America Corp. and Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. said Friday their companies pulled advertising because they found the comments offensive.

Well, Bank of America is now run by the U S of A, so we all know where that’s coming from.

Gee! what ever happened to FREEDOM of SPEECH ...oh yeah, we lost that when we became a communist/socialist nation on 1/20/09!

all these companies took bailout money... which means, the US government is supporting them.

as such, the US goverment cannot support any discrimination or hate speech, which this would qualify under (bashing a group as ‘freaks’, altho accurate, would still be discriminating)

watch for this type of soft-control in other advertising areas.

and yes... the homo-mafia would be behind it

BofA was all about diversity long before this crisis. Most vast corporate cultures already are, with HR brownshirts and company-sponsored minority clubs, groups and mentoring. When your white and work at BofA, you’re on your own.

referred to transgender people as "freaks" with mental disorders

What should we call people who want to amputate parts of their bodies? This is neither a normal desire nor a sign of a healthy mind - thus the description "freaks with mental disorders" is precisely correct.

There is freedom of speech.

The companies are leaving because of what they said. Of course, other companies can buy ads as well for supporting what they said.

It works both ways.

A freak is a freak in my book. I don’t go out of my way to bother anyone, as long as they don’t bother me.

Transgender advocates and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation have sought an apology from two of the show's three hosts, Arnie States and Rob Williams. The third host, Dawn Rossi, defended transgender people on the show.

Heterosexuals should seek an apology from Dawn.

Can't stand Chipotle.

I doubt their horrid rice stuffed burritos could ever sell in a place that was blessed with a Moe's Southwest Grill.

Someone who want to change their gender badly enough to undergo disfiguring surgery is not well.

Which is not to say that giving them their wish isn’t the solution to their disorder, but I would be the one to suggest that it is.

Usually, medical wisdom advises trying the least invasive cure for the disorder.

Yeah, I think I might go ahead and hire the Lesbian Maid Service. As long as they live up to their business motto, “We Don’t Leave Crumbs In The Rug”.

Rob, Arnie and Dawn is also broadcast here in Reno where they started. I heard the remarks Arnie made and they were funny and typical of the role he plays on the radio. They were not any worse than anything he says about other groups including old white guys.

So the host was saying he'd hit someone with a mental disorder? How charming.

I disagree that all trans are freaks but they defiantly all have mental disorders.....I'd pull my advertising too. These folks are bigger idiots than the mental cases they were making fun of.
