Texas scientists rolled out a new COVID-19 vaccine, saying it’s patent-free and can be produced by any manufacturer in any country. The vaccine, called Corbevax, was developed by the Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. It has successfully passed human trials as safe and effective. The new treatment is based off protein-based technology that has been used in other vaccines for decades and it does not use MRNA. India has already authorized production of 100 million doses per month of the new vaccine. Meanwhile, Texas scientists say not-for-profit vaccines will help defeat COVID-19 quicker.

When one thinks about the incomparable C. S. Lewis one normally thinks about the great Christian apologist that he was, or the author of famous children’s books, or the celebrated professor of English literature. One does not usually think of him as one who spoke or wrote much about political matters. But he did. Scattered throughout his writings are various discussions about political matters, democracy, freedom, equality, law and justice, tyranny and the like. From talks he had given, or essays he had written, political matters quite often appear in the Lewis corpus. And they are fully relevant for the...

No matter how successful someone may seem from the outside, we all have our own internal struggles. During the earlier years of Anthony Hopkins’ career, he found himself in his own battle with alcoholism. RELATED: Christian Comic Chonda Pierce On Her Late Husband's Alcoholism Anthony’s addiction started “innocently.” He adopted a worldly mindset and drank because “that's what you do in theater, you drink." But as is the case too often, the social pastime soon took over his life. By 1975, Anthony’s drinking had spiraled out of control. "I was hell-bent on destruction," the award-winning actor recalled. "It was like...

Wikileaks document that referred to the destruction of a US moon base sometime in the 1970s has recently gained renewed attention. The document is dated January 24, 1979, and is titled “Report that UR Destroyed Secret US Base on Moon.” It was correspondence involving one or more officials from the U.S. State Department to Samuel L. Devine, a Republican member of the US Congress. The document has tags “Operations–General | UR – Soviet Union (USSR)” which reveals that “UR” stands for the USSR. The document was marked unclassified, which suggests that the content of the correspondence did not contain classified...

I have seen posters saying the election audit in Arizona should be televised. It is! there are 9 public cameras that you can access to view the audit in real time. Anybody in the world can view it for free. You can see it for free. The people in the audit are wearing different colored shirts which identifies their job. Yellow = Mail in votes Blue = Votes cast on election day Green = (I think) Regular absentee, early voting. Black = Supervisors Orange = demondog observers. It is worth a few minutes look. https://auditwatch.win/

That they’re easy to carry, often pocket-perfect and lightweight, inexpensive (or relatively so), and sold in drugstores, airport arcades, supermarkets, and many other venues outside the hallowed precincts of the glorious bookstore does not make them less worthy of a good life as a book. Many old and battered paperbacks are treasured by their owners, for content they can’t replace in another edition or for pure sentimental attachment. Who among us hasn’t got paperbacks that we can’t part with, even as we wonder what we can do to keep them going? Paperbacks’ chief fault lies in the often low-grade (inexpensive)...
