I’ve been around a long time, but I’m quite sure it wasn’t until the Trump era that the media felt quite comfortable using phrases like “false claims”, “unfounded allegations”, and “baseless accusations” in their so-called “straight news” stories.
Only when reporting on Trump and his allies, of course.

I watched the FNC post-debate analysis, and while all opined that Walz didn’t totally blow it, even the two lefty lackeys Brit Hume and Harold Ford Jr. agreed that Vance was the one that carried the night.
