Poll: Most Want Assertive Senate on Judges AP - 2 hours, 30 minutes ago WASHINGTON - More than three-quarters of Americans say the Senate should aggressively examine federal judicial nominees and not just approve them because they are the president's choices. That's one of the few aspects of this divisive issue that gets widespread agreement, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll released Friday. Respondents favored conservative over liberal judges in general, 47 percent to 39 percent.

Bill Clinton said that the divorce rate is lower in the blue states. Could that be because so many people in the inner cities never got married in the firt place? Could it be that places like Massachusetts allow rich Catholics to annul marriages of 30 years? Could it be that more gays live there? Please if there is someone out here who remembers this and can get to the Bush people - What ever happened to the ballots that were returned by the voters for a new one when they realized they had made a mistake? If I remember right these may be some of the ones that they are trying to recount now. Originally I heard that the 19,000 in WPB were mainly that. Now I wonder what are they counting.
