Poll: Most Want Assertive Senate on Judges AP - 2 hours, 30 minutes ago WASHINGTON - More than three-quarters of Americans say the Senate should aggressively examine federal judicial nominees and not just approve them because they are the president's choices. That's one of the few aspects of this divisive issue that gets widespread agreement, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll released Friday. Respondents favored conservative over liberal judges in general, 47 percent to 39 percent.

  • Divorce Rate Lower in Blue States??????

    Vanity Question | 11-22-04 | Dagny
Bill Clinton said that the divorce rate is lower in the blue states. Could that be because so many people in the inner cities never got married in the firt place? Could it be that places like Massachusetts allow rich Catholics to annul marriages of 30 years? Could it be that more gays live there? (San Francisco) There are many reasons it may be a lower rate and it has more to do with lack of morals than morals, and I for one am sick and tired of hearing those holier-than-thou liberals claiming morality. That is the biggest joke yet!...
  • What Ever Happened To The Returned Ballots?

Please if there is someone out here who remembers this and can get to the Bush people - What ever happened to the ballots that were returned by the voters for a new one when they realized they had made a mistake? If I remember right these may be some of the ones that they are trying to recount now. Originally I heard that the 19,000 in WPB were mainly that. Now I wonder what are they counting. If you know someone in the Bush campaign and you think this has merit - please remind them of this. Thanks, Dagny

    Hugh Hewitt - KIEV 870 | 11-09-00 | Hugh Hewitt
Hugh Hewitt is collecting names and phone numbers of people who were influenced in their voting by the erroneous Gore win in Florida at between 4PM & 5PM. Please if you know someone who either didn't vote or changed to Buchanan or had some other anti-republican event occur, have them report it to Hugh at info@KIEV870.com. He had hundreds of people call in and some actually worked for Republican headquarters and they ceased their get-out-the-vote effort because they thought it was over. Each person must be willing to swear to his/her story because I think he's going to fight these ...

Some of this title may be incorrect because I was just hearing the interview on the radio, but it appears that Lee Radek may be in trouble. If he is Janet Reno is in trouble big time.It appears that at the meeting when he told FBI Deputy Director, William J. Esposito, that he was under pressure to not investigate the campaign financing scandal because Janet Reno's job was at stake; they were not alone. It seems that there was someone else present at that meeting that agrees with Esposito. Radek has denied that the meeting took place. As Drudge would say ...

Flanked by Cuban officials at Wash. D.C.'s Reagan Int'l Airport, Dr. Caridad Ponce de Leon told reporters on Monday that her patient is doing "very well". Then the Cuban pediatrician hastily boarded a plane to return to her native Cuba. Despite Dr. Ponce de Leon's reassuring words, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta has refused a request from the Miami Herald to release a report from two American mental health experts on the child's condition. The report's authors, Dr. Paulina Kernberg and social worker Susan Ley, were appointed by the INS to monitor Elian's progress. The two experts declined ...

George W. Bush in his search to start prairie fires across America, should remind voters that the last thing we need is another lawyer president. Just consider the experience the country has had with the only two lawyers elected to the presidency since the 1930's, Nixon and Clinton. The American disdain for lawyers in palpable. They are even more unpopular than the press. And no decade has provided more colorful material about the profession America loves to hate than the 1990's.The Clinton-Gore White House is packed full of lawyers. More attorneys work in it than any other one. The results? A ...
