Harris Co-Chair: People ‘Misremember’ How ‘Strong’ Our Recovery Has Been
Breitbart ^ | 09/24/2024 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 09/24/2024 5:11:46 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Harris-Walz Co-Chair Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) stated that if you ask people if they’re better off than they were four years ago, “many Americans misremember just how bad the economy was four years ago and how strong our economic recovery from the pandemic has been.”

Coons said, “Americans, when you ask the question, are you better off today than you were four years ago, many Americans misremember just how bad the economy was four years ago and how strong our economic recovery from the pandemic has been. And, next year, the biggest fight’s going to be over taxes. Lots of folks don’t remember the details of the very complex TCJA or Tax Cut[s] and Jobs Act fight of 2017. A lot of those provisions expire next year, and so, early next year, Congress and the president are going to have to roll up our sleeves, sit down, and hammer out what’s it going to look like for the next five years, what are we going to do in terms of spending through the tax code, what incentives will there be? Joe Biden made a promise he wouldn’t raise taxes on anyone making less than $400,000, and he’s kept that, Donald Trump is promising he’s going to impose a 20% tariff, that’s a tax, on every imported product, that’s a national sales tax.”

One day they’re running away from Biden’s record and the next day they’re embracing it? This campaign is really messed up.

Like $1.48 a gallon for gas when Trump left DC?
Could be used in a car going to get a fast food meal for maybe $4.95 to $6.95 (my kinds) or a snack of a $1.10 bean burrito at Taco Bell.

Here’s a good article we should shove into the faces of relatives and friends who vote Dem (I have none). Make them squirm.

Coons is probably the next dumbest Senator to ever serve in the Senate ... probably wouldn’t take what he says too seriously.

Prior to the Biden Harris “administration” being installed, we were able to put money into savings every month. Now, we struggle not to withdraw money from our savings account let alone deposit any.

Paid for a two egg breakfast for myself and one other person at a modest cafe in Madison, Al this morning. Same dish for both. Two eggs, bacon, grits, biscuit, gravy, water to drink. $25. Would have been half that pre-biden. I dont “misremember” anything.

Aunt Bee always told Andy and Opie never to skip breakfast because it was the most important meal of the day.

But $25?

Biden promised no new taxes on anyone making under $400,000 yr. Sorry but inflation is a tax and it’s a heavy one around our necks and our children and grandchildren.

RE: Lie.........

Come Lie With Me and Be My Love
by Lawrence Ferlinghetti

Come lie with me and be my love
Love lie with me
Lie down with me

Under the cypress tree
In the sweet grasses
Where the wind lieth
Where the wind dieth
As night passes
Come lie with me
All night with me

And have enough of kissing me
And have enough of making love
And let our two selves speak
All night under the cypress tree
Without making love.

from A Coney Island of the Mind, 1958

To make that worse, if you saved more money the 2020 money would be roughly 20% less in buying power (and far less if for food or other non-average items such as gas).
