“Did I mention that the self proclaimed winner, Democrat Russ Carnahan, is the brother of the Missouri Secretary of State, Robin Carnahan?”

Recall, that after the 2000 Presidential election, it was George Soros who made a point of how important it was for Democrats to gain control of the Secretary of State’s office in the individual states.

They don’t know. They only know what they’ve probably heard or learned from their libtard parents and professors. The easiest thing in the world is to be a liberal when you are still living off of mommy and daddy’s bank account...or government grants and loans for school. Hopefully, things change when these kids enter the real world and have to start providing for themselves.

“This time the conflict has one side that is made up of cowards, draft dodgers, baby killers and druggies who don’t own guns. It won’t turn out well for them.”

I used to believe this as well until it became obvious that liberals are liars and hypocrites. Reminds me of the Washington Post columnist Carl Rowan who argued for years for gun-control and locking anybody up who possessed a firearm. Yet, one night some kids were pool-hoppin’ in his yard and he shoots them with an unregistered .22 cal.

The irony is that the liberal elite are more frightened of their own constituents than anybody else...especially considering the firepower that resides in most inner-cities. Many Liberals think too highly of themselves and are to self-important to truly disarm (despite what they say)...and even when they may not personally own a firearm, they usually employ private security to handle the dirty work for them. Don’t underestimate them; they are liars.

I thought I heard the reason Okeefe was there was because Landrieus constituents were complaining that they could never get through to her via the phones (supposedly they were always busy or something.) He wanted to show that there was nothing wrong with the system and that she was simply ignoring them. Is this still the case?

Also recall that FoxNews was the only network that gave her objective coverage during the primaries. While every other network was engaged in a scandalous love affair with Obama, Fox played it straight.

Fox is also a good barometer to guage were the rest of the country falls on specific issues. It is not just that the other networks totally misrepresent facts...they lie through ommission, failing to even acknowledge critical topics and information. An intelligent politician could certainly gain an advantage if they took this reportage seriously.

That may be true. Sadly, if I were a conservative doing investigative work and suspected of wrong-doing, New Orleans is one of the last places I would want to be caught...innocent or not. Some reports on this case are already describing this as an attempted wire/phone tapping caper. Somebody needs to keep a close eye on them to make sure they are not railroaded.

...Or maybe the Union Bosses are realizing that in real Socialism the gavernment replaces the Unions. Without Capitalism there is no need for a Union...

One of the greatest ironies in the decline and fall of labor unions in this country is that labor leadership, itself, has been the most responsible for their decline. For over 70 years labor’s leaders have supported Democratic politicians and policies that have promoted an activist government. Throughout most these 70 years, labor unions have gotten much of what they’ve demanded—a progressive government that has increasingly taken on the role of “Labor” in the workplace.

From the government’s own Department of Labor, to the EEOC, to OSHA—to any number of federal (and state) agencies governing the workplace environment, Labor and their Democrat brethren have created a government that has basically made labor unions redundant and less relevant. The very success of labor unions in advancing a progressive agenda via government and “worker’s rights”, has helped contribute to their own decline and fall. When you combine all this with the union leaders corruption and heavy-handed tactics, is it any wonder that unions have lost much of their power and influence in this country.

One of the other great ironies in this decline is that since so much of our unions rely and revolve around a strong manufacturing/industrial economy, it has been many of these same progressive Democrats that have helped destroy this base. Contrary to claims of Republican’s being responsible for outsourcing US manufacturing, it has been Democrats who have thoroughly waged war on our industrial nation.

Whether it’s the punitive tax policies (one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world), liberal environmentalism combined with excess regulaton...or outrageous litigation supported by liberal politicians, Democrats have become increasingly hostile towards industry and business in this country. Both union leaders and their Democrat bretheren have been directly responsible for the fall of unions—and those businesses that have helped enpower them.

Sure...and that’s why just yesterday I heard a report that some of our latest green jobs (solar panel mfg.) have aleady fled to Mexico. With this administrations desire to unionize every new Green Job, our ablity to compete is going to be crippled...as more manufacturers leave to become competitive.

While I will concede that low wages are attractive to many businesses, what liberals ignore is that so many of their policies have destroyed the industrial base of this country. Liberals are doing to this country what they have aleady done to California; From environmentalism and over-regulation, to taxation and out-of-control litigation (we already have some of the highest corporate tax rates in the world), liberals have created a hostile environment for any kind of manufacturing. Combine all this with union expansion and their demands, and you have a system that just cannot compete in this global economy...Green or otherwise.

  • Cop's bullet aimed at barking dog hits owner instead

“It has been my experience, that the owners of unruly dogs are the problem, not the dogs. The bullet ended up where it belonged. Maybe she should be ordered to take the money she is awarded from her lawsuit and get some advice on how to keep her dogs in line.”

Just, Wow...a barking dog = an unruly dog and irresponsible dog owner (thus the bullet ended up were it belonged?) Considering there’s no mention of the dog attacking the officer—or even approaching him, I’d say you’re a little off base. The fact that the officer fired in the “direction” of the noise—and missed, indicates to me that the dog was never a threat, nor even close since he missed.

For all we know, the dog was properly leashed and possibly even restrained by the owner since she was the one struck by the bullet. Anyone who knows anything about firearms knows you don’t fire in the direction of an intended target; you fire at the target.

“One of the many revelations from Climategate is that behind-the-scenes, scientists who buy into man-made global warming are admitting what skeptics have been saying publicly for years now: The globe has been cooling since 1998.”

From what I heard this morning, this cooling trend is coming to an abrupt end; according to the report from FNC, the UN will announce that not only was 2009 the warmest year on record—the entire decade was the warmest in recorded history. I’d like to see the data that supports this conclusion since they appear to only be using regional temperatures from Africa and parts of Asia.

“They are outbreeding us 8 to 1?
That?s the idea. Why else do they go to live in the strangest, most unlikely places in the world to live? Places where the culture is the exact opposite of theirs? They are moving everywhere and populating the planet and infecting it with their sick cult.

And this has been Islam’s objective since its founding. It isn’t a coincidence that the so-called Golden Age of Islam only lasted as long as it took to conquer and breed-out the rich heritage and cultures of the Assyrians, Perisians, Egyptians, Greeks, etc.

Arab-Islamic civilization is not a progressive force; it is regressive and retards growth. The Golden Age of Islam that many people speak of was nothing more than what Arab-Islam expropriated from these other cultures and subsequently lost when they drained, through in-breeding and the forced conversion to Islam, the source of the intellectual vitality that propelled it.

Other than the Ottoman Empire, which expropriated and committed some of the worst genocide outside of the Holocaust, what other Arab/Muslim civilization has risen since? What other Arab/Muslim successes can be cited? None—and the reason why is that Islam rejects any progressive ideals; math and science are shunned. Unlike Chritianity that had a Reformation and Judiasm that had an Enlightenment, Islam continues to dwell in the past, unchanged over the centuries.

“President Obama, in a surprise appearance during the regular press briefing, bragged this afternoon about the support for the Democratic health care bill by the AARP and the American Medical Association, saying the endorsements bring reform closer than ever.”

Hmm...so does this mean Obama’s earlier claims of support by these same two organizatons were lies? We’ve aleady had this debate following his first annoucement; As with the AARP and most seniors, the AMA no longer speaks for most doctors. The AMA, like the AARP, lost its stature as the voice of the physician years ago when it decided that big bucks and bureacracy were more important than serving the Dr’s and patient’s needs.

This is what doesn’t make sense; how could the kid be responsible for releasing the ballon, while at the same time, climbing through the door in the basket to fly away...especially with his parents right there? How can they claim he was scared and hiding for releasing the ballon when there was never enough time for that to have happened—with them right next to the ballon.

This is right on the mark. If it were true, not only would specific people still have a vivid memory of the event, a Nexus-Lexus search would turn up multiple hits from the numerous news sources who would’ve been outraged over the statement. Rush’s program is one of the most closely monitored shows by the Left...and yet, not one shred of evidence exists for what would clearly be his most controversial statement.

BORes jumped the shark with me. Repeating the 75,000 number while intimating a racist undertone because of the lack of Latin’s and Blacks—and than showing “one” dispute in the crowd and labeling it as violence, is ridiculous.

Oreilly’s desire to always appear “balanced” will be he his undoing. He unjustly creates a moral equivalancey test that does not exist—and is not even close, when it comes to the behavior of the left and right. Sure, their are kooks on the right—but unike the left, our kooks are still on the fringe while the Left’s are now holding public office.

The fact that BORe still can’t acknowledge that Obama is a radical is just another example of how he bends over backwards to appear fair. This is nothing but his fraudulent and selfish desire to grab that elusive interview which he so desperately needs to stroke his ego.

“The media is the enemy?s front line defense, until they are confronted and exposed nothing gets better!”

I agree completely. I’ve always believed this current media to be one of the most, if not most dangerous entities in the country. They have been the most influential institution that has enabled and allowed Democrats to gain and maintain power for decades.

Thankfully, their monopoly on the dissemination of information has been challenged of late; but instead of embracing some of the basic tenants of objective journalism, they’ve only become more partisan and agenda-driven.

There isn’t a day that goes by that you can’t find any number of examples of their fraudulent behavior...the most recent being the attacks on the couple who exposed corruption within ACORN. Had this expose been of a right-wing leaning organization, the media would be celebrating the couple as whistleblowers and wonderful investigative journalists. This nonsense has to stop—and a march on the media for truth and accuracy sounds like a great idea.

  • Democratic Congresswoman Blames 'Global Warming' for California Wildfires

“Failing to periodically burn the underbrush, some of which had not been burned in a few decades, contributed greatly to the current fires in California, not global warming.”

And this is perhaps the greatest irony of all: It is the Global Warming alarmists and environmentalists that have succeeded in confiscating large swaths of land and prohibiting any human contact with it...including any preventitive maintenance. These people have allowed our forrests to become timber-boxes ripe for wildfires thanks to the huge underbush that goes uncleared. It isn’t Global Warming that has caused these fires; it is the proponents of Global Warming.
