It was bound to happen. That is, someone was due to blame the catastrophic wildfires in California on global warming.
Rep. Linda Sanchez, the Democratic congresswoman from California’s 39th Congressional District, appeared on MSNBC’s Sept. 1 “Andrea Mitchell Reports” and did just that. She told the show’s fill-in host Tamron Hall that these wildfires have increased in “magnitude” over the years. And she knew why.
“Yeah, it’s really interesting because I'm a native Californian, born and raised here and periodically we would have fought wildfires when I was younger, but nothing of the magnitude that we’ve seen in the last several years,” Sanchez said. “And, obviously, a big contributing factor to that is that we’re in drought condition. We don’t, we aren’t receiving the amount of rainfall that we should or, quite frankly, that in years past we did.”

Well, I am a native Californian, grew up and still live in southern California.
Fires have always been and always will be part of California.
Are they worse? How about not being able to clear slash, cut dead trees and shrubs, not allowed to water......my goodness the woman is a stupid as jello.
In these parts it's been a fairly quiet fire season in light of our wet late spring and early summer, as well as relatively cool temps. We're not going to break 90 this week.

Let’s talk about the Santa Barbara and now the LA fires. Both were started by illegalls tending marijuara farms controlled by the Mexican Mafia. They are now growing drugs in the USA to sell to us on federal lands. They have more rights than citizens. Stopped drug farming in the federal parks and the fires there with stop.
Ingamine if a boy scout set a fire in the parks, they would be disbanded in the USA.
I’m leaning towards arsonists, myself.
Failing to periodically burn the underbrush, some of which had not been burned in a few decades, contributed greatly to the current fires in California, not global warming.
I guess the adoption of the let it all grow practices and the failure to cut fire breaks has nothing to do with it.
