Huh. Well, that’s good to know. My dad was in the pan handle andI tried to get him to bring me an avocado tree back from Florida...the ones with the big fruit like yours. He said he could only get them in the south though.

It's so dry here. I can't remember the last time it rained. My trees are all small though. My grapefruit and orange tree still have green fruit. I picked them the last time a storm came in but they never ripened so I guess I'll leave them alone if a storm comes in this year.
Beyond filling the tank and laying in some grub, I wouldn’t rush around just yet.
If you start preparing in advance then you don't need to rush. Around here, if you don't have everything you need and want early then you might as well forget about it at crunch time unless you want a black eye while fighting over a loaf of bread.

I could be wrong but I doubt most mothers and fathers are going to let their children go hungry. I also doubt that families won’t take care of their elderly and disabled. Why work though or provide assistance, if the government will pay you not to?
It’s a different world today. In the “old days” we didn’t have a lot of gangs and teen shootings. I figure most people would show concern about teens running around a park with what looked like guns. That said, boys can still be molded into responsible men. Dads, or male role models can still teach gun safety and shooting skills at ranges, etc.
One of those better to ask forgiveness than permission things. We can do what we want with our own borders and sort it out with the Feds later. He’s already told them once that if they won’t do anything about the Mexican border he will.
Why not just go ahead and close all the schools for a week or so? We would save money and the kids would like an extended spring break. It would reduce spreading any illnesses right now.
