Sorry for the vanity, but I am stumped. I thought there was a court decision sometime back that said that the social security administration could not be forced to give retirement benifits to an individual. Can anyone provide me with more concrect evidence of this? a link perhaps?

Ah the Christmas season! That wonderful time of year when the elites dispatch thousands of lawyers to stamp out all traces of what the holiday means to us faithful whilst (and at the same time) flailing us with our own beliefs to donate more and more cash to their favorite charities. Such hypocrisy is bested only by our own wimpiness in buying the sham.

My daughter is doing a study of RB Hayes, who won the squeaker election of 1896 (IIRC), which eerily paralles the election of 2000. I am asking for anyone to help me find some period quotes about him, as said by simeone else. I know he was an acquaintance of Mark Twain (which would be ideal), but web searches for either dont' bring anything up. Please forgive my rudeness, but can anyone out there help? thanx
