  • Video: House chamber response to President Calderon by Rep. Tom McClintock!

When I heard McClintock speak, it actually brought tears to my eyes. I was so glad to hear a true American in that mess (Congress) speak up for our state! We have to make this effort to rid ourselves of the parasites that are virtually driving us into bankruptcy. We cannot afford to support and educate them anymore, we don’t want the crime and the drugs that come along with the deal either!

We lost a good friend when Robert Krentz was murdered on his ranch. I have been ill, so I am just now catching up with the news.

    McClintock’s speech was eloquent.

Apologize?? Huh? It sounds like Tiger was the victim! I had wondered if he had her arrested. He should have. He is an abused spouse, and folks that isn’t anything to be ignored! She is violent, and there is no reason for her to attack someone! If Tiger goes back to her, the next attack may kill him.
Expecting an apology from the victim of a crime is stupid.

Can I post to just all of you, and explain a bit more? I live in Congressional District 8 in Arizona. Simcox and his involvement in Politics in the 2006 election when our Republican Congressman Jim Kolbe retired; did a bit more damage than just his possible mishandling of funds of the Minuteman Organization. Nearly EVERY political candidate, that had Chris Simcox’s endorsement LOST. ALL the candidates that lost were Republicans, and some of them were worthy candidates, but in Congressional District 8 the Constituents (who USUALLY vote a straight Republican ticket) were persuaded to cross party lines or abstain (as I did) from voting for the Candidates that were endorsed by Simcox, because few of the sane Republican citizens in this Congressional District want anything to do with that which Chris Simcox has been involved with or endorses. Starting with Don Goldwater who lost the primary to Munsil, who was accepted until his involvement with Simcox and The Minutemen was announced, Bill Montgomery who ran for Attorney General also made the error of claiming that he had been involved with the Minutemen (I really liked Montgomery, and I voted for him) but others saw Simcox and voted for the incumbent Democrat, Terry Goddard. We are talking about Registered Republicans who have not crossed party lines for YEARS who were suddenly searching for an Independent, a Libertarian or abstaining from voting at all.

Now let’s talk about the Congressional seat in District 8, vacated by Jim Kolbe,R after 11 terms in office. Because Chris Simcox gave so much of his and the Minuteman’s support to the Republican Randy Graf, Arizona filled that Congressional seat with a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT WOMAN, Gabrielle Giffords.

So the next time you have to listen to Nancy Pelosi and you grind your teeth, remember that Simcox holds at least partial responsibility for the Democrats’ gain of at least one seat in Congress. If he had stayed out of Politics in AZ’s election we may have had different results in the election, Kyl was only briefly mentioned in one of the AZ Minuteman’s TV spots, and he got less votes in this past election because the Republicans in Cochise County did not want to support any candidate that had anything to do with The Minutemen or Simcox. Can I prove what I am saying? Well I do know Republicans who claimed that they crossed Party lines so as not to support Simcox in any way.

What many of us have known for certain for a long time is that Simcox is an opportunist.

All of this is based on my observations, what other Cochise County Republicans have told me and of course my own opinions.

We have an Arizona Corporation Commission, if and when Simcox does open the “books”, I think you will find some very “creative bookkeeping” and you may also find that many of these dealings have been done in the name of someone other than Simcox himself. Many of us have branded him “foolish” but we also are aware that he is not a “fool” and he is going to try to avoid another criminal conviction in the State of Arizona.

For those who gave with good intentions, we are sincerely sorry that you may not like what you see when a “full account” is finally given.

If I were not such a lady, well I believe I would say, “I told you so...” to some people who blindly followed this man (and sent him quite a LOT of money in the process). It would seem that the move from being a working person and newspaper owner in Tombstone, AZ to a resident of an elite city so far far away from his “border responsibilities” (Scottsdale) would have been questioned at that time.

Anyone who has ever been to Scottsdale in AZ, (home of the Mayo Clinic) would know that you don’t just move a mobile home in and live in a trailer park in THAT city! Where did the money go? Well, I would check for holes in Mr. Simcox’s pockets, FIRST.

The hopeful rancher with the skeleton of the beginnings of a fence on his property should sell tickets, to see “The Folly of a Madman”.

How many of you sent Simcox money? I sure hope you are smart enough to know that his well should run dry now. Then again, what you do with YOUR money is YOUR business.

If you want to make the border more secure, you should turn your eyes towards the elected officials who are already PAID to TRY to work on behalf of the Security of America in Washington (and I don’t mean McCain either!)

I am all for secure borders, the ports and the Northern and Southern borders but I knew too much about and quit coming to Freepers as often because of the hero worship associated with Chris Simcox. I am glad that he has finally shown his hand, now if he will just show his followers the money, maybe he can keep his faithful followers loyal to him.

I am done, and I hope he is too soon. He's a con man and an opportunist (in my opinion) and now people are finding out the truth.

Goldwater is supported by Racist Vigilantes HE WILL NOT GET MANY VOTES in COCHISE CO. for this reason. We are tired of being the launching pad for every white supremacist that wants to come here with their hatred for people of color!

The KKK is alive and well in AZ, and it's name is Graf and Goldwater! I am one of the people who recently participated in a poll about Graf who said they would not vote for him for dog catcher, and his time spent at "Golf College" is not a ringing endorsement for a good politician. Cochise Co. has some serious issues to face, among them is Prop. 400 (endorsed by some Republicans who do not care about the good of Cochise County!)

THINK BEFORE YOU VOTE, Vigilantes have misappropriated funds from people who wanted the Gaza style private fences, what they got was what amounts to a livestock fence that will not keep illegals out! WHO GOT THEIR MONEY? Let's see how much the Vigilantes gave to Graf, Goldwater, Tancredo, and Gilchrist for their campaigns! I think stealing from people should be against the law and "a promise is a promise", some people gave BIG money in support of the walls, they go no wall just a livestock fence!! AND PLENTY of political glad handing with some highly suspicious politicians! Not all Cochise County residents are willing to go along with "White Power". I will be voting against it, and every true Conservative Republican should too! Just my opinion, I won't come back often to read your responses because I am out campaigning AGAINST the candidates who are using Vigilante Power to be elected! Shame on any of you who vote for RACISM and WHITE SUPREMACY. Cochise County should wake up before it's too late!

    GOD HELP US ALL!

The nuns with guns picture makes me want to make things up to confess just so I am sure I get it all covered sufficiently! Eeek!! They offered me the opportunity, I could have stayed, it's those orders that live with the "vow of silence" that really frighten me! May the Lord forgive me, I do not think I have the strength to work with Lepers, I don't think I am cruel enough to be a "teaching nun" (only the cruelest may apply). Just joking Sister Mary Catherine, I STILL need BOTH of my ears, even now!

Parochial school did give me some measure of assurance when I became a parent, I knew if my boy had misbehaved, he had already been punished when he was "caught in the act". I was never disappointed by the fact that I/we learned when we went to school!

I have never had students that attended parochial schools that had to be tutored in literacy. I have been a Laubach Certified Literacy Tutor for more than 10 years. Except when it is a matter of teaching English as a second language, I have NEVER tutored a child who was educated in a Catholic Parochial Academy. The students that I have taught that were learning to read and write English, always had their home study work done and were ready for their next lesson with me too. I never hurt them, I never got "my ruler" out or did the eye brow thing at them, I just never had to. You never quite get over that fear.

I make a mean salmon cake for Fridays when I do not feel like having fish sticks. I will share my recipe if anyone would like it. I find it goes best with the Orange Kool-Aid (and if you really want to get wild, you can mix that with some pineapple juice! (A tupperware cup enhances the flavor, I think), and REAL baked macaroni and sharp cheddar cheese. It does not all have to be boring! :-D

When your wife has that much money and they won't even give you a wafer, or a drop of communion wine, then you may not actually be "in good the good graces" of The Church. **Didn't I read somewhere that Kerry had been denied Communion?

**Probably the only real problem that Ted has is that he wants his wafer and a 5 liter box of Communion wine so he can "have one for the road".

*(Not many Priests (or some of the rest of us) will refuse a nip of spirits on a chilly day, either.

One ancient Priest told me one blustery day as he had a nip with my grandmother, it's good for arthritis, all things in moderation and why don't you go play with the other children? :-)

One good thing, quite often when there it's not bingo night, they will invite AA groups to use the church's recreation area to have their meetings.

Won't you come in and join us for some Kool-Aid? My momma and grandmother were always giving the neighborhood kids a snack even the little Protestant children. :-) We do like most everyone (and in my grandmother's case, I am not sure if she knew my siblings and me from the other kids, we always had a houseful of children )! There won't be a problem, I'm sure.

My bestest memories are of Midnight Mass, and fish sticks on Friday with macaroni and cheese. That's just living folks! And a good Irish Catholic Priest to listen to you confess your "impure thoughts"...when I was young if I could not think of something to confess, it was not uncommon for me to confess to things I did not do just to be certain I did not bore the Priest, and I knew there were things that I probably deserved penance for, that would ellude me when I got in the confessional. The first time I stepped into a Protestant church I thought the floor and ground beneath it might open up and swallow me whole or the roof would cave in on me!
Ah such fond memories, our gym teacher was a nun that was retired from the Marines, she actually wore combat boots. A Marine drill instructor in a Penguin suit. Long ago and miles and many years away...the Kool-Aid and the bingo (okay and sometimes the fish sticks and macaroni and cheese) are the only things that have completely endured the time. (And I still love Midnight Mass! :-)

Come into the rectory, and have some of this nice Kool-Aid, you will feel better afterwards. All good Catholic children love Kool-Aid, and it's a good bargain! Kool-Aid and bingo, tartan plaid skirts, white shirts, blue knee socks and saddle shoes. Teachers that sometimes resemble penguins. Everyone will adjust, as long as your have your Kool-Aid...

Ok, just joking, happy Halloween (still in AZ for 30 more minutes) :-)

I have heard that birds are particularly susceptible to opportunistic infections that may be passed on to their owners (ailments such as lung disease and pneumonia) in particular (but also things like ocular infections too!

This is strange, because one of my doctors was talking about that the other day, he asked me if I had a bird in my home, and I haven't had one for years, but I used to have a parakeet. I do not think he was ever ill, he died (but I really think that was of old age). I suppose it's something for bird lovers to consider.

    Do I smell blood?

Melvin Harter has been in building and health code violations in Cochise County for literally YEARS. I am amazed that the Cochise County Officials have waited this long to wag their collective fingers in Harter's direction.

For years the Bible College was a corridor for illegal entrants (aliens), after personally hearing Harter brag that the County could not touch him, this is a refreshing change. We paid a visit to this "Bible College" and the sanctuary and dormitories were in shambles! The ceiling was falling through where the church services were being held and the place reeked of the smell of mold. They did however have an assisted living building that was in good condition. There was only one "client" living in the facility at that time.

It would seem that Harter's loyalties sway with whoever has a quick dollar for him. To invite armed individuals to occupy what is supposed to be God's own anointed land is most probably a lot more than the average "MAN OF GOD" would do. I will have to write to the powers that be in the religious organizations that he claims to be associated with to make sure if I am right about that. I already KNOW the answer.

The last time I was at Miracle Valley it was probably full of lead paint, asbestos and termites. Holes in the roofs on the buildings and mold growing on the pews in the sanctuary. I do see this as an issue for Cochise County and they should have done something about it long before now! In my opinion.

Here is a link that will let you know about some of the history of Miracle Valley Bible College (not all of it is a happy story).

Congratulations to both your son and to you. My father was a submariner in WWII on a Gato Class Sub named the Gurnard (there is now a nuclear sub by the same name). My father stayed with the sub for the duration of it's service until after the end of the war. He was what was then known as a plank owner working in the engine room.

Submariner service holds a very special place in my heart, my father never told many war stories. Much of what I have learned of his service to his country I have learned from his old shipmates that I have sought out through Internet sources.

Please know that you have every right to be proud. Your brave young son and the others in his class will be in my prayers. Thank you.

My final response, no one from my group wants to be here (and we live here) wake up and smell the coffee. The only stalking that I will do is from a courtroom. Got that? Good.

My group does not want to be out involved in even watching the "Vigilantes", the ACLU has generously offered to risk their lives to do that.

The Gang MS 13 is going to be out in that desert in April some of us may hire security and leave the area. If I come home to find that my home has been burned or destroyed at least I will still have my life.
Goodnight & in regards to this subject at the request of Mr. Robinson "good-bye". I will live through this to post another day as a true conservative.
