    John Rowland, Governor of CT. resigned.

    Amongst mounting allegations of accepting bribes from state contractors, Governor Rowland, A republican who held the state house for 10 years announced his resignation today.

    My opinion: he never should've resigned. He should've been thrown out of office by the people who put him in.

    As many of you know, I volunteered for Rowland's Campaign in 1994. n 1990 former Republican Lowell Weicker, who was recently replaced in the Senate by Democrat Joe Lieberman, was elected as an independent. Prior to 1990, Connecticut did not have a state income tax and neither John Rowland (who was running on the Republican ticket) nor Lowell Weicker said they would implement one. Weicker won and shortly afterward announced his support for a state income Tax. Since the state legislature was controlled by Democrats he had no problem getting it through. He remained unpopular for the remainder of his term, chose not to run for a second term and quickly moved to Virginia shortly after his term expired.

    John Rowland easily won the election of 1994. However, he did nothing to remove the state income tax which still exists to this day.

    Typical of most Republicans who replace Democrats (or in this case a former Republican who embraced Democrat ideas) John Rowland became the career politician. The person who does nothing as to not create any waves, who lets bad laws and policies stay on the books because its too uncomfortable to put up a fight.

    Unfortunately, the state Republicans kept nominating him and the people of the state kept electing him. And they'll elect a do nothing politician of either party again and again.

    I no longer live in Connecticut, and I don't miss it.

    Security advisor bashes Bush, Carter says war Based on lies.

    Of course I couldn't Start the week without mentioning Clarks interview on 60 minutes about how the Bush administration ignored threats from Al Qada and was obsessed with Iraq. Carter also said the war was based on lies. I carefully outlined how his incompetance in dealing with the Islamic fundamentalist takeover in Iran during his administration led to our present situation in the Mideast.

    Unfortunatley I don't have time or space to talk about how california is banning smoking on beaches and I promise to reveal Kerrys secret this week.

    Howard Dean said President Bush is responsible for the terrorists attacks in spain.

    I read the article, but found this statement made by the Kerry camp to be more interesting:

    "Governor Dean was simply repeating what's already been reported by news organizations about a group that claims responsibility for the enormous tragedy in Spain," she said. "It's clear that what happened in Spain is a painful reminder that the war on terror is far from over and the nation would be better off if this administration took the time to rebuild our alliances rather than engaging in political attacks"

    I'm thinking of listing recent political attacks by Democrats on my website. What do you think?

    If you're a frequent visitor to my website you know my positions on the legalization of drugs and gun control. What's interesting about this case is this is the second time Crosby's been arrested on the exact same charges. Simply put, Crosby, like Michael Jackson, is sloppy. They both don't know how to stop their illegal activity.

    Crosby is not a threat to anyone. He smokes marijuana for pleasure and carries a gun for protection. This is not something he should go to jail for.

    Well, almost

    Ever since my Republican Rock Star web site went up I've made a lot of friends among college republicans. A group from one college proposed to their college that I deliver the commencement address at the graduation. Of course it's highly unlikely a Republican is ever chosen and if the faculty ever visits my website, you can bet against my delivering the speech. However it's nice to be considered.

    Actually I was wrong it was Feb 24 1996.

    Brothers to the rescue, a private organization formed in 1991 and based out of Miami routinely fly's small planes across the Florida straits in search of Cuban refugees Fleeing from Castros Island prison. In addition to this they drop leaflets echoing the voice of liberty 13 miles (respecting international boundaries) off the coast of Havana in hopes that the winds will carry them to the city. They remain an active political organization seeking change in Cuba through non violent means.

    On February 24, 1996, three planes from Brothers to the Rescue were patrolling the international waters of the Florida Straits when Castro ordered his MIG fighters to shoot them. They did just that. Downing two of the unarmed small planes (the third got away) Castro simply murdered four Brothers to the rescue pilots who were only trying to help people fleeing the "socialist utopia" of Castros communist gulag

    Of course murdering innocent people is nothing new to the man who recently hosted Robert Redford, Oliver Stone, Kevin Costner, Steven Spielberg and God knows how many other Hollywood liberals, he's been doing it for about fifty years.

  • Upcoming New Hampshire Primary

    A few thoughts on the upcoming New Hampshire primary.

    1. How will Lieberman and Clark fare since this is their first real chance to get votes (both ignored Iowa)

    2. Kerry is most likley to come in first, the real contest is between Edwards and Dean.

    3. Will coming in second re-energize Deans supporters? (Dean's already energized)

    4. Will George W. Bush win the Republican primary (I think he will)

    5. Will Howard Deans speech be carried by all networks. (Of course, who wouldn't carry it)

    6. Are tickets available to Howard Deans speech ( I believe front row seats are going for two thousand a piece)

    7. Will it be carried on Pay Per View. (It would probably raise a lot of money)

    8. Should Dean sell advertising time during his speech (Unfortunately he's not a capitalist)

    9. Should he make copies of his Iowa speech on CD and sell them (again he's not a capitalist)

    10 Other people have made mixes of his Iowa speech, How are they doing on the charts (I believe three have hit the Billboard top ten)

    11. Would Dean be able to outsell Britney Spears in a concert (After last weeks performance, of course)

    12. How about Bruce Springsteen (too close to call)

    He ran for Governor of California and Hollywood opposed him. No, he's not Arnold. In face he's not even a republican. And Hollywood loves him now.

    But when this man ran for Governor Hollywood viciously attacked him, his policies, his beliefs. many actors appeared in ads denouncing his Ideas. Studios bought airtime to run ads attacking his policies.

    He was a famous author who made the cover of time magazine.

    I'm sure this will infuriate Republicans like myself but think.

    George Bush is one of the greatest world leaders in modern history. He stood up to the UN. and protected America. He is most likley a shoe in for reelection. It takes a lot of courage to challenge such a man. So far ten have step'd up to the plate. (one has dropped out).
