Eight Years Ago today

Actually I was wrong it was Feb 24 1996.

Brothers to the rescue, a private organization formed in 1991 and based out of Miami routinely fly's small planes across the Florida straits in search of Cuban refugees Fleeing from Castros Island prison. In addition to this they drop leaflets echoing the voice of liberty 13 miles (respecting international boundaries) off the coast of Havana in hopes that the winds will carry them to the city. They remain an active political organization seeking change in Cuba through non violent means.

On February 24, 1996, three planes from Brothers to the Rescue were patrolling the international waters of the Florida Straits when Castro ordered his MIG fighters to shoot them. They did just that. Downing two of the unarmed small planes (the third got away) Castro simply murdered four Brothers to the rescue pilots who were only trying to help people fleeing the "socialist utopia" of Castros communist gulag

Of course murdering innocent people is nothing new to the man who recently hosted Robert Redford, Oliver Stone, Kevin Costner, Steven Spielberg and God knows how many other Hollywood liberals, he's been doing it for about fifty years.

Hear the actual audio tape of the shootdown from the command tower on my website

Should I bother to find out whether Clinton said a word about this? Probably not.

One of Giuliani's great moves was naming the portion of 37th street that runs in front of the Cuban UN Mission "Hermanos Al Rescate Way." Fidel can put THAT in his cigar and smoke it!

I wasn't aware of "Hermanos Al Rescate Way." Next time I'm in New York I'll pay it a visit. Here in Tampa there is a Brothers to the rescue Corner.
