An interesting problem exists here. The Manual for Courts Martial and the inclusive Uniform Code of Military Justice is an executive order signed by POTUS. The most recent version in 2008. It is this document that grants and enumerates the military’s authority in administering internal justice. Theoretically, the Obamanation that causes desolation could suspend or even revoke the MCM as his executive prerogative, which would stop all military court related proceedings across the entire DoD.

Here’s a recommendation for an amended resolution: France send ‘peacekeepers’ to occupy Gaza and enforce a cease fire.

I positively agree. There’s an adage I once heard: those that can’t do, teach; those that can’t teach, write text books. Nothing can replace life experience when it comes to teaching, IMHO. I don’t, so much, have a problem with a 22 year old college grad teaching my toddler how to count to 10 or identify colors... Conversely, I have a huge problem with them teaching my teen philosophical and interpretive subjects.

Disproportionate Force... what a preposterous term. I remember in the final days before leaving for Iraq, my Soldiers were in a use of force briefing prepared by lawyers and being faithfully regurgitated by a young LT. This disproportionate force B.S. was delivered to them and as an example of it’s relevance they were told if they were being shot at with small arms by a single enemy, the appropriate response would be to engage that enemy only with small arms fire until it was suppressed or neutralized. After this sensitizing, cultural awareness and international law nonsense was over - I held them in place and told them; if someone means to do you or your buddy harm - you bring to bear all the firepower at your disposal with extreme violence, shock and destruction. Break the enemy of it’s will to fight as quickly and permanently as possible. Following the initial occupation, my unit spent 15 months in Baghdad and lost not a single Soldier to enemy action.

This is a good read. However, I think we must be very careful of the “this will work itself out in time” concept. We cannot allow our outrage to be replaced with apathy. Hopefully optimistic, while diligently suspicious - and always vocal.

The Department of Homeless Services said Monday that the number of homeless families with children entering shelters in November was up 40 percent over the same time last year.

Invalid statistic. Proves only that more people are using the resource. Could just as well indicate a better performing program, rephrased: "40% more families with children are taking advantage of available social welfare programs than at this time last year."

America's first duty should be to herself. The time has come to (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and reboot. Secure our borders, cancel all foreign debts, harvest our resources, restation all our armed forces on the homeland and sovereign seas, skip a generation of military technology, withdraw from the UN, abandon NATO, void all foreign aid, massively stimulate our infrastructure and industry, replace the torch on the Statue of Liberty with the international sign for F-You, dare anyone in the world to mess with us; and if they do - completely and totally obliterate them.

I hope you are at the very least as insulted by this,at best, evasive response as I am. I am well aware of what the constitution says. Furthermore, what relevance to my question does the Federal Elections Commission bare? My question has nothing to do with campaign financing.

Please allow me to rephrase my question in further effort to have it answered directly:

How, specifically and literally, did the Secretary of the State of Missouri validate the basic constitutional qualifications of Mr. Obama in order for his name to appear on Missouri ballots for the presidential election.

At this point, I request Mr. Cunningham personally inquire this of the actual Secretary of State.

The Missouri Secretary of State’s Office complies with the United States Constitution and applicable federal laws when placing candidates for federal office on the ballot.

According to Article II of the United States Constitution, “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.” Please feel free to contact the Federal Election Commission if you need further clarification on this issue.

Well, with due respect to your mother [or not depending on how you feel about your lickings =) ] in order to allow capitalism to function it must remain free and open. The more regulation and tampering, the more likely to fail. Just like the big three auto makers - and just like my neighborhood grocer who can’t sell eggs as cheap as Wal-Mart; they tried, they failed, they go away.... Bailing them out or buying them out and providing government ‘oversight’ is socialism. We, the people, did not choose that type of government or economic system, yet our own representatives continue to push us precisely in that direction.

(nod) Yeah, maybe so. But, last year this time banks were still booming from the great idea of “mortgages for everybody!”

(ducking for cover....) oh no - not another one. Didn’t we get this out of our systems bashing oil exec’s for their compensation packages while we paid $4.00 a gallon for gas? Good grief - it’s CAPITALISM. The problem is the bail-out, not the salary scale.

Apparently, in 1803 Mr. Tucker interpreted native and natural to by synonymous. The dissertation is based on Blackwell and English law.

I, personally, find it hypocritical to be ok with one politician doing something outside his scope at my expense so long as I support his ideals - then criticize another politician whose ideals I do not support for exceeding his authority at my expense... If Oklahoma wants to sponsor their law maker’s trips abroad to meet with foreign powers, then thats one thing... Oh wait - that would be unconstitutional, hmmmmm....
