the Cambrian explosion and the lack of millions of evolutionary deadends over time are the two points that have convinced me that evolution just can't be true. at least not as it is currently thought of.
after reading Godless, I went on to read a book of science essays that had been sitting on my shelf. with Coulter's arguments fresh in my mind, it was stunning to me how many current scientific theories (especially in the areas of biology, anthropology, and sociology) are all rooted in the *theory* of evolution.
....it really made me think about how much of what we think we know is probably just dead wrong.
Honestly, I doubt the NYT would publish this if it weren't already on the web. But I DID send them the letter... I know they don't care what middle America thinks, but just MAYBE somebody there will realize that I can't be the only person who feels this way.
If I did think it had a chance of being published, I would change "Treason Times" to "New York Times", just so it didn't turn off any "moderate" people who might read it.
