Restaurants, bars and tourism officials say Utahns should not shy away from partying or eating out because of the state’s new toughest-in-the-nation drunken driving law when it takes effect in just over two weeks on Dec. 30. They stress two reasons: The Utah Highway Patrol and police say the new law won’t change how they enforce DUI laws, with their focus on impairment rather than blood-alcohol levels; and Utah has plenty of ride-sharing and public transportation options to get people home safely if they drink too much.

Mark Levin has been MIA since December 6th and Thursday sub host Brian Mudd (WJNO) announced The Great One will not be back until Monday, December 17th. Last time Mark was MIA it was due to his father's death: let's pray his elderly mother is well and Levin is just taking some time off with family. Mark has remained active on Twitter which is a good sign: https://twitter.com/marklevinshow?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

Central American migrants traveling in a caravan broke through a Guatemalan border fence Friday, running into a wall of police in Mexico, whose government has promised the United States it will confront the caravan. Mexican television footage showed hundreds of migrants breaking through Guatemalan border posts and streaming onto a bridge connecting Mexico and Guatemala. The migrants were met on the other side by a line of Mexican police in riot gear. Witnesses say some of the migrants threw rocks and other objects at Mexican security forces, who used pepper spray to force the migrants to retreat.

As The Mark Levin Show closes another week without him on Friday, WMAL talker Larry O'Connor does a "double shift": Larry has his own show on Washington's WMAL (105.9FM/630AM) from 3:00PM to 6:00PM weekdays and went right to The Mark Levin Show just after 6:00PM. Larry is also a frequent guest on Fox News Channel shows as well a CPAC favorite. Although O'Connor does have a slight lisp, he is not "light in the loafers" (not that there's anything wrong with that) despite having a Broadway background: https://hotair.com/archives/2016/11/21/and-this-is-why-i-was-a-closeted-conservative-when-i-worked-on-broadway/ O'Connor also has a Breitbart background as former head of "Breitbart TV",...

WJNO talker Brian Mudd hosting The Mark Levin Show Tuesday night: made no mention about Mark's family or when he will return but Don Bongino said Monday night he was away due to an illness in the family, like Mark's father, Jack Levin. Prayers for the Levin family.

The recent Capitol Hill hearings of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh may have been the biggest flashpoint of the #metoo movement to date. The hearings raised the question of standards, in the #metoo era. Are women to be believed based solely on an unproven allegation? If corroboration is required, then what's good enough? And who gets to decide? Those are some of the tricky questions raised by abuse allegations made against a top Democrat official Congressman Keith Ellison by an ex-girlfriend who spoke to Sharyl this week.

On WMAL Washington (105.9 FM/630AM) Don Bongino announced that Mark Levin will be away until next Monday due to an illness in the family: that would likely be his father, author Jack Levin. Levin had recently left his show abruptly with Bongino filling in at last moment due to an illness in his family. Prayers to Mark and his family!

Washington DC blogger David Hughes writing in his DCRTV.com blog reports on the Free Republic's posts about the absence of Mark Levin: "Levin's Mystery Absence Continues - 9/19 - The mystery surrounding DC area-based national conservative radio host Mark Levin's (right) sudden departure from "The Mark Levin Show" last Thursday continued with his being "MIA" again Tuesday despite his substitute hosts claiming his return by then. According to a post on the Levin friendly Free Republic: "Please accept this post as an observation: explaining, not complaining. Hopefully, Mark Levin's absence from 'The Mark Levin Show' since abruptly departing the third...

Please accept this post as an observation: explaining, not complaining. Hopefully, Mark Levin's absence from The Mark Levin Show since abruptly departing the third hour on Thursday, 9/13 with Dan Bongino finishing the show are not for his own or his parents' health reasons. But after going on six days with no explanation on his web site, Twitter, Facebook or elsewhere, his fans may start to wonder what is going on. Ben Ferguson hosted the Friday 9/14 show and Dan Bongino again hosted the Monday 9/17 show and both said Mark would be back by Tuesday 9/18, but instead the...

Mark Levin, after departing unannounced Thursday 9/13 after the second hour and being replaced by Don Bongino for the third hour, is away again Friday 9/14 with sub host Ben Ferguson holding down the bunker. Ferguson announced that "Mark will be back Tuesday" which is great news. Whatever the reason (Mark's own health or his parents), lets keep Mark in our thoughts and prayers!

The "Pit Bull" of conservative talk radio, Mark Levin, sounded weak as he took his final call in the second hour of his Thursday, September 13th show: he said nothing about feeling ill or anything else. Listening on WMAL in Washington DC, the news comes on at exactly on the hour and did so at 8:00PM, ending at about 8:06PM with a quick commercial and The Mark Levin Show theme, the familiar voice of Don Bongino came on to announce that he had been asked by the producer to do the final hour of tonight's show. Bongino made no mention...

President-elect Donald Trump plans to nominate former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao to head the Transportation Department, a source with knowledge of the decision said on Tuesday. The source, who requested anonymity, confirmed the pick to Reuters. Chao, the wife of Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, served as labor secretary under President George W. Bush and was the first Asian-American woman to hold a Cabinet position. The formal announcement was expected Tuesday afternoon. Although Trump spoke on the campaign trail about wanting to "drain the swamp" in Washington, more than half of Trump's nine key appointments so far have been...

"Others inside Trump’s orbit, particularly Vice President-elect Mike Pence, are viewed as Romney supporters, believing that he has a steady hand that would benefit Trump in the turbulent world of diplomacy, according to people familiar with the dispute who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. Romney’s supporters have largely counseled Trump privately, while his opponents — Conway, former House speaker Newt Gingrich and a handful of other Trump loyalists — have gone public in recent days to stoke a revolt."

"Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has been quietly exploring whether there was any “outside interference” in the election results and will participate in the election recount in Wisconsin initiated by Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, a Clinton campaign lawyer revealed Saturday."

At this time of Fidel Castro’s passing, we extend a hand of friendship to the Cuban people. We know that this moment fills Cubans - in Cuba and in the United States - with powerful emotions, recalling the countless ways in which Fidel Castro altered the course of individual lives, families, and of the Cuban nation. History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him. For nearly six decades, the relationship between the United States and Cuba was marked by discord and profound political disagreements. During my presidency, we have...

A political operative for Donald Trump's campaign said Sunday that Hillary Clinton is likely to die during her first year in office should she be elected president. John E. Jaggers, the Maryland and Northern Virginia state director for Trump's campaign, continued the Republican campaign's unfounded attack on Clinton's health during a “Moms 4 Trump” rally in Loudoun County. “How many of you would wear a wool coat in August?” Jaggers asked the mostly-female crowd at Salamander Resort in Middleburg. “ The woman who seeks to be the first female president of the United States wears a wool coat at every...

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An 18-year-old Charlotte, N.C., college student who was ejected from Thursday's Donald Trump rally says he went from avid backer to disillusioned opponent after Trump's security accused him of being a known protester. Jake Anantha, who registered as a Republican and cast his first primary vote for Trump, was wearing a Trump shirt when police removed him from the Charlotte Convention Center before the rally began. He and his father, Ramesh Anantha, say they believe he was profiled because of his dark skin. "It's unbelievably ironic," said Ramesh Anantha, whose parents emigrated from India. He says his...

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s preparations to take over the government if they’re elected are now in high gear, and their transition teams are working out of the same building a block from the White House at 1717 Pennsylvania Ave. It’s the first time in history that two presidential campaigns have worked to set up their governments in miniature literally side-by-side, riding the same elevators to adjacent floors of the tony, marble-floored building as they plan to govern. Now that Clinton has announced her five-person, day-to-day transition team led by former Interior secretary and Colorado senator Ken Salazar and Trump has...

Last year, the Sigma Nu fraternity chapter at Old Dominion University was suspended after some clever boys thought they might try to trick ladies into their home, thinking it was an administrative building or something, with a bunch of huge banners that said things like, "FRESHMAN DAUGHTER DROP OFF" and "GO AHEAD AND DROP OFF MOM TOO." This year, we have something so much better. In what's clearly a stab at the sexist signs hung by the Sigma Nu boys, a sorority at West Virginia University made some tricky banners of their own.
