A first grader at a California charter school was sent to the principal’s office this week after she accidentally “misgendered†a classmate in what’s being called a “pronoun mishap.†The incident occurred at Rocklin Academy, a school roiled by controversy after a kindergarten teacher led an in-class discussion on transgenderism that included a “gender reveal†for a little boy who was transitioning to a little girl. For kindergartners.   Parents were furious because they were not informed in advance and were not given the chance to opt their five-year-olds from the classroom transgender activity. However, school leaders informed moms and...

Editor’s note: As one of the fathers of modern bodybuilding, Joe Weider founded the International Federation of Bodybuilders, created the Mr./Ms. Olympia contests, and published numerous fitness magazines. He also developed several weight training programs in the 1950s, many of which were available by mail-order. Weider was interested in helping his clients build the whole man, and along with the booklets on bodily development he sent out to subscribers, he sometimes included pamphlets on how to strengthen other aspects of their lives like dating and career.Below you’ll find one of these pamphlets on “How to Make Women Like You.”...

We’re now more likely to tell our daughters they can be anything they want to be — an astronaut and a mother, a tomboy and a girlie girl. But we don’t do the same for our sons. Even as we’ve given girls more choices for the roles they play, boys’ worlds are still confined, social scientists say. They’re discouraged from having interests that are considered feminine. They’re told to be tough at all costs, or else to tamp down their so-called boy energy. If we want to create an equitable society, one in which everyone can thrive, we need to...

JACKSON, Miss. – A Mississippi teenager charged with murder in the death of a 6-year-old told investigators that the boy was actually shot by another of the three teen suspects, according to an investigator's sworn statement. The Associated Press obtained the sworn statement Friday from a source with knowledge of the case involving the death of Kingston Frazier. The boy was found shot to death at the side of a dead-end road inside his mother's abandoned car, hours after someone stole the Toyota Camry from a supermarket parking lot.

A 4 year old boy, Roman, in Croydon, south London used his mom's thumb to call for help. He can be heard saying: 'Hello I'm Roman.' The call handler asks for his address - which he provides - and then asks him to go to his mother. He says: 'She's not waking up.' The woman on the phone then says to shake 'mummy' to wake her up, but Roman replies 'it's not working.' Paramedics were able to give life-saving first aid to the woman and she was taken to hospital after regaining consciousness at the home. She has since been...

A New Jersey boy has become the first openly transgender member of the Boy Scouts. Just one week after the Boy Scouts of America changed its policy to allow transgender children to join, Joe Maldonado donned his uniform as the newest member of Pack 20 in Maplewood. 'I am accepted,' said the nine-year-old on Tuesday night, as his mother fought back tears. The youngster had previously been banned from Pack 87 in Secaucus because his birth certificate stated that he was born a girl.

It was a remarkable live TV moment. During Tucker Carlson's Fox News show, reporter Griff Jenkins was at the scene of an anti-Trump demonstration in DC where a fire had been set in the street. Suddenly, a young boy [maybe 10-11] stepped up to say that he “kind of started the fire.” When Jenkins asked why he started the fire, the boy, who identified himself as “Carter,” said “because I felt like it and I’m just sort of saying, screw the president.” View the video here.

Editor’s note: An AoM reader recently wrote me a letter recommending I look up this old essay, which originally appeared in Harper’s Magazine in March 1933. I did so, and was delighted by what I found. In the piece, Robert Littell takes on a classic genre: the listing of those skills every man should know. Naturally the fun of such lists is the passionate discussion that results from men adding their two cents as to what belongs and what doesn’t, and what should have been included instead, and I’m sure Littell’s list will have you both nodding and shaking your...

After two juvenile boys held up three juvenile girls at gunpoint Sunday afternoon (June 12) in the 7th Ward, one made his getaway on a bicycle as the other took off running, New Orleans police say. A preliminary NOPD report says one of the suspects, a 14-year-old boy, was arrested shortly after the robbery. The holdup happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Broad Street, police say. The report says two of the victims were age 12 and 13. The third victim's age was not listed, but police said she was also a juvenile. The report says...

Roseville, Ca. - For two years, 7-year-old Vinny Desautels grew out his hair to help kids with cancer. "I want to help people so they don't have to go to the doctors to fight cancer." I think this is another underlooked aspect of what just happened. I suppose the RINO Governors would have been on stage anyway. I wonder if FIORINO was on the stage if less time would have been allowed for big boy pants and bubble boy to attack eachother?

Yesterday’s Boston Herald featured this endorsement in the New Hampshire GOP presidential primary. A former U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey, [Chris] Christie knows something about being on the front lines of the ongoing war on terror. (SNIP) Not mean-spirited? Not hateful? Tell that to the young woman Christie sandblasted in a New Hampshire town hall meeting Monday night when she asked why he hadn’t stayed in his home state a little longer to help the recovery effort from last weekend’s monster snowstorm.

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested and charged a man with murder after authorities say he stabbed a young boy to death during a home invasion in Versailles, near Lexington. I'm hoping some Freepers can help me understand what's going on here. This story makes no sense and none of the media want to dig for answers. Nothing in this story makes any sense at all unless you consider two scenarios: 1. The attacker is a total loon, but that still doesn't address how he ended up in Kentucky when he lives in Indiana. 2. The only other thing...
